I just came across your blog and thought "damn--this is where I belong!" I have spent far too much time on other blogs trying to explain to the Obamabots that Obama is a hypocrite and has a propensity to lie (sometimes I soften the blow and call them "half-truths"). I'm sure you won't be surprised to find that I have NEVER received a refutation or rebuttal when I list his “half-truths”. Even when I am on a blog run by a liberatarian most of the readers fall into three categories: 1) Love Obama, Hate HRC; 2) Love McCain, Hate HRC; and 3) Dislike Obama, Dislike McCain, but HATE HRC. I even cut an paste a comment from your blog (Obama's potential problems with FL, NY, PA, OH and MA in the general election) and only one person responded by saying this sounds like a HRC-lovefest and then tried to discount the comment due to lack of “sources” I did fill in the “sources” and they came back with hypothesized numbers. The next time one person posts that Obama does not play dirty, etc… I will direct them to: http://savagepolitics.com/?page_id=326 and the list of 64 lies told by Obama. I will ask them to pick at least a few lies to refute in the name of a "spirited political discussion." I will, however specifically post my favorite: “CHARGE 64 – ‘I am running a clean campaign, high on hope and free of negative attacks.’

EVIDENCE – Senator Obama’s campaign has launched over 206 media attacks on Senator Clinton alone. SOURCE 1, SOURCE 2, SOURCE 3,/COUNTER CLAIM - Senator Obama has run a fair and positive campaign./REBUTTAL – Senator Obama continues to launch negative attacks against his opponents while claiming he is merely defending himself. Attacktimeline.com has amassed, with dates and quotes, over 200 media attacks from Senator Obama’s campaign, many of which are first-strike, pre-emptive negative messages and policy distortions. He continues using phone and mailing campaigns that are both negative and factually inaccurate. We guess Hope doesn’t spring eternal./VERDICT – SENATOR OBAMA, YOU ARE A LIAR
It amazes me that so many Obamabots and Obamammas refuse to see him for what he is. This man is hardly an agent of change. They refer to me as a Clintonista…..oh well, if the name fits…….

Gosh, you shouldn't encourage me, cause I have too many years of experience in a male dominated world in which I was successful, to the extent that I wanted to be successful. What I saw and experienced was not very pleasant. What I see happening to Senator Clinton...it's akin to reliving all my worst experiences. I chose to walk away, because I just didn't have the energy, the self esteem or the drive. That doesn't mean that I gave up. I mentored many younger women, one of whom did go on to Corporate Vice Pres status, and strangely, recognized me in a coffee shop recently. She took an early retirement package (as did I) and is running her own company today, and is doing quite well. Not that she has to worry, her pension is more than adequate. Anyway, back to my original intention. Senator Clinton is the only one in this primary season who has shown that one needs backbone, one needs to stand on one's own two feet, one needs to be able to have a solid platform of policies and be knowledgeable about one's opponents' policies.
When one wants to elect the leader of the most powerful nation on earth (today) one must consider whether that leader is capable of taking on the leaders of all the nations. Senator Clinton versus Putin....I have no fears. Senator Obama verus Putin? I'm not one for hope and change. Guess the years have beaten that one out of me. In addition, Putin is not the worst case scenario, and I'm not putting Achmadinajaed up there at all. China is the big bugabear. Perhaps I'm wrong. Maybe Obama can sit in a room and take on Hu Jintqao, but when China owns quite a bit of the U.S. through financing their debt????
I'm honestly at a loss as to why the election coverage is not looking at the foreign leaders and the ability of the President to deal with these foreign leaders. Anyway, sorry for ranting. Just letting off steam.

Lurking is not required! Pitch in!

I learned that when one woman opens a door for herself, she opens others for all other women. And that's a fact!

That is one of the issues that I find so perplexing - "They know not what they do".
Where have these young people been?
I know that I worked damned hard for many many years - I couldn't afford university, I worked from the time I was fourteen, while juggling school and a totally dysfunctional family life, but that was what one had to do to remain sane and to get out of the hellhole.
I knew that being a woman was a detriment to my advancement. I knew that because I would not, could not, play the male dominated society game, that I would never advance, however, I chose not to do it, for my own sanity. Honestly, I had women and men coming to me to ask why I wasn't a GM, why I didn't aspire to VP, why I wasn't advancing their various agenda. My response was that there was nobody at my back, and it appears that times haven't changed. My own sister, when asked why I was not more aggressive and helping to break the glass ceiling, responded that I would do what I could do, when I was ready to do it - but she never once indicated to me that she felt I was in a position to do so.
Strange times. I let my own insecurities define me, but I'm not sorry about my choices, not in the least. I've raised two young adults, all on my own, and both of them are real go-getters and both feminists (although my son and I have had many discussions surrounding the "Friends with benefits" scenario).
Perhaps they will be of the age that finally makes a real difference, although from rhetoric of the Obama hordes, they have one h*ll of an uphill battle.
As a little ole lady of advanced years, who happens to be a strong woman who believes in equality regardless of sex, race, sexual orientation, I stand in hope that Hillary will be the next President of the USA. If not, are you folks in trouble.
Sorry for the long diatribe. It seemed appropriate. Back to lurking.

Thank you HT. When people say things like that it just keeps me going!

Like you, I am a corporate America rat. Had to scratch my way up and I Remember. Even though our younger sisters never fought the fight, they don't understand that their rights are precarious if they become complacent in the face of obvious sexism. So it's our job to stop Obama for them, for they know Not what they do.

Geez, love your articles and comments on No quarter, and you are just as good on your own site. Glad I followed you here.
One of the commenters on NQ couldn't do links but referred to Fred Siegal's article in The Australian: The illusion that is Barack Obama. You may want to check it out. It's a good read.
http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,23643866-5013948,00.html

I'm a long time lurker at NQ, rarely commenting, however read every day. Now I can add you to the list. I'm also a middle aged woman who had to fight tooth and nail in a multinational corporation, had my work stolen by others, and am so psyched that Hillary may bring this one off. My only regret is that I cannot vote for her, as I'm a foreign national. Good luck, and as my last comment at NQ and Fred Siegal's article indicates, the rest of the world is watching, and there are a whole bunch of people who want Hillary to win.
