I’m equally surprised that I’ve come to rely on conservative commentators to get a sense of what’s truly going on. But I’ve also realized how totally in the tank the MSM has become. Or maybe that was always the case [reporting from a skewed bias] and I had acquiesced because it was basically a liberal agenda.

If there’s been any good to come out of this disaster, it’s the birth of scepticism over what we read, not being satisfied with a single venue or point of view. I listen to Fox News [something that still astonishes me], read liberal and conservative news outlets and listen to the BBC as frequently as possible.

It’s been a strange summer. The Possum King is on the telly now, speaking from Jordan. Now he’s talking diplomacy with Pakistan and India. That trumps the earlier idea of invading Pakistan [bad, bad idea]. But he’s stumbling now around the Israel/Palestinian issue, basically saying what’s been said a gazillion times before.

This is scary business. And why is a presumptive nominee talking about a “strategic vision” for the area? Or “his” objectives for the region?

A PERSONAL THREAT EMAIL which included a web link- no doubt containing a virus – I left unopened.

So, I guess I’m in good company now, huh?
