Well last night was certainly interesting, what with Barack Obama more appropriately channeling Walter Mitty instead of JFK.
Among his shining Narcissistic moments:
Most Delusional Moment: Voting against the Iraq war was his most “gut wrenching” decision. He “labored” over it! Considering he wasn’t even a US Senator at the time, this is over the top even for Barky. But he believes it. So now it must be So.
Most Entertaining Moment: Calling Clarence Thomas, the only Supreme he wouldn’t have picked, “Too inexperienced” was just too delightful to watch. I guess experience counts except when you are Barack Obama, hey? And I bet Clarence is going to get him for that too.
Most Frightening Moment: Telling us he takes advise from Michelle. Hey by the way, where IS Michelle? They sure hauled HER out of the equation in a hurry.
Most Subliminally Honest Momemt: His “Pay Grade” is way below the office of the President. (Secretly, I’ll bet Clarence is mumbling, “You should talk”).
Shameless thief that I am, I cannot resist stealing a comment made by a No Quarter regular, “JeremiahGodDamnAmerikka”–with a bit of Uppity editing:
HEADLINES YOU WILL NOT READ AT HUFFPO TODAY
McCAIN KICKS OBAMA’S ASS HARD!!! – and Barky wasn’t even on stage at the same time!!
ABOVE HIS PAY GRADE AND OUT OF HIS DEPTH!!
SPANKED BY THE OLD GUY!!!
NOTE TO OBAMA: CANCEL THE DEBATES NOW!!
CLARENCE UNDER THE BUS! TOO STUPID FOR OBAMA!!
DEVIL’S IN THE DETAILS WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR!!!!
BODYSURFING BLOWBACK: YOU SHOULD HAVE STUDIED UP SENATOR!!
AXELROD SCREAMS AT STAFF: GET HIM A G*D DAMN TELEPROMPTER!!!
DEAN TO PELOSI: “OH SHIT WE ARE F*CKED!!”
Uppity Addendum:
All humor aside, If you take an empty box and you wrap it up really nicely, and put pretty bows on it…….it is still an empty box.
Barack Obama is using filler. The fact is, he has precious LITTLE life, management, foreign affairs, economic, and domestic experience. It is truly a shame that he didn’t have the patience to allow his empty box to gain some items before plowing into the presidential candidate arena.
I blame those around him for basically blowing smoke up his ass so that he began to believe that he is what his media creation is. Thinking Barack Obama could be president now is tantamount to imagining the mail room manager can be CEO. He just doesn’t have the leadership chops because his box is not full. Using the Race Card ad nauseum has only served to hightligh this fact. He is not anywhere near ready for Prime Time and all the Race Card has served to achieve is the assumption that we should Affirmative Action him into the presidency simply because he is a minority. This is not some slot in a corporation where someone as an individual can’t do much harm while he grows into the job. This is the Office of the President of the United States we are speaking of.
Barack Obama will not be president. Ten years from now he would have walked away with the presidency. Academic approaches are useless in comparision to real life experience. This candidacy is very sad on so many levels — Past embarrassment, right into the Sad category. And in the process, Gender and Race relations in America were set back by 30 years–all in the interest of saving a candidate who cannot do the job at this time in his life.

"This is not culture. This is not custom. This is criminal."
In last night’s debate you saw
an honest man v a dishonest man
A 3rd former trying to fit into a 6th grade class
This guy is not Presidential material
Well put. The man has nothing in his box. The box is wrapped well, all shiney and new. With lovely bows. But it’s empty. And empty box is still empty no matter how you wrap it.
OMG – what a stark contrast this forum produced. Barry NEVER made a straight answer to ANY question put to him. He uhed and ahed and started to tell a story and would finally meander around to answering the question – most of the time. Compare that to McCain who gave quick, short answers to the questions and then would give a story to illustrate what he was talking about. If the debates go like this did, Barky needs to save the greenhouse gases that his plane puts out and go home. He got his butt spanked and spanked hard. Had Hillary been there (instead of Barky) it would have been a memorable match up, instead, it showed just how pathetic Barry is when there is no teleprompter around.
McCain by a LARGE MARGIN.
Obama wouldn’t even be fit to be POTUS in 10 years when you consider he sat in the Illinois Senate for 10 years and did nothing except have his name attached to the workings of others.
As a guest lecturer at U of C Obama never wrote a single disertation (sp?) and yet talked a lot.
Investigate all the experience of Obama and you have to conclude one fact, Obama will flap his lips with ease, but to actually do some work, that is and has never been in the cards of his doing!
Great post, Uppity. Love the faux headlines!
Yup, had to laugh when he claimed the Iraq war “decision” was the most difficult for him. Tiny violins! Also, although I dislike Clarence Thomas immensely, it blew my mind when Barky threw him under the bus.
McCain’s policy stances repel me, but he tells a great anecdote, and he did a fab job yesterday of connecting with the audience. I found it much easier to listen to him than to Barky. Had to avert my eyes in order to try to stay tuned to Barky. His speech pattern drives me insane.
Damn, I can’t believe BO is the “presumptive” nominee.
“It is truly a shame that he didn’t have the patience to allow his empty box to gain some items before plowing into the presidential candidate arena.”
Uppity that is a statement that truly pisses me off.
It doesn’t matter how much experience barky gains because it is all bad. He could have waited another 20 years to run and he still would NOT be qualified.
He would continue to fill his box with items like.
Wright
Rezko
Ayers
Blackwell
FISA
and on and on.
Time only hurts barky it doesn’t help him.
mmarvel I asked someone about the short concise answers that McCain gave. Their response was absolutely stunning…he was being thoughtful. McCain was belligerent. The KoolAid is far stronger now.
Gosh, the part about do this to the least of “my brothers” was orginial–what about the sisteren?
Oh, sure, you know the media will actually give McCain some credit!!
More on idiot “journalists”…

Also, I read that Rick Warren said to him at the end–”Home run.” So I guess his “purpose-driven life” is to get Junior elected.

Better try the Jedi Mind Trick.
The headline of today’s LA Times:
“Contrasting styles, views in sharp focus”
And the subheading: “Obama is analytical and nuanced. McCain answers the same questions crisply to greater applause.”
The body of the article is surprisingly balanced and without bias commentary or slant. Do I detect a slight shift in the MSM wind?
Great post, Uppity. I do disagree that he would have walked away with the Presidency in ten years. I think what we see before us is not the brilliant man he is portrayed as but rather a man propelled thru life via a good deal of luck and affirmative action. He has shown me nothing with his lackluster efforts in Illinois and the US Senate. I think he’s basically a lazy guy who hasn’t worked very hard to get where he is. It’s all about “him”. He is the most divisive pol I’ve ever seen. I would never vote for him!
Ten years from now Obama will be Wendell Wilkie.
OBabbles. Lame. Just lame.
McCain. Ahead by light years.
UW: Brilliant post , but wih one major flaw
A. Right-On’s
1) shiny wrapping, empty box = excellent
2) ” imagining the mail room manager can be CEO” = superb analogy
3) “Affirmative Action” as a verb = genius
B. For UW’s Reconsideration
1) Mel is right: based on his record in the Illinois legislature, Obama wouldn’t be ready in even 10 years.
2) Scott in Jupiter is right : “He could have waited another 20 years to run and he still would NOT be qualified.”
3) MARY is right: Obama is a severely disordered personality.
a) He suffers from the incurable mental disease, megalomania (Etreme delusions of grandeur divorced from reality)
b) He has a fascistic make-up
c) He is unintelligent, the bottom of the Affirmative Action barrel
d) He is ignorant of commonly known facts, e.g., Russia has veto power in the Security council
e) He is lazy
f) He cannot think on his feet.
g) He is a political panderer of he lowest sort He voted “present” 100 times in Illinois rather than take a positiom that might some day jeopardize his political career.
Engrafted onto all of the above, Obama has a putrid character: he lies, he cheats, he manipulates, and he lacks all sense of honor. And worse:
>>Barack Hussein Obama is a thoroughly evil man<<.
mcnorman: Your report is truly frightening. This really is Jonestown stuff.
Yay! Thanks, Uppity, I couldn’t wait for these remarks.
I dropped in last night. Incredible.
Is this all a hoax? A prank gone awy?
Happy Day to my friend Ariel, who may be joining us…
rabbit, rabbit, rabbit
The obama file place is a great primer. It is like reading a book. It’s in line with my ‘paygrade’.
If you’re looking for humor, Uppity, try Kathleen Parker’s column today. Yes, she is crazy-ass conservative, but you gets your laughs where you can.
Obama’s “response” is a hoot:
“Dear (Former) President Putin:
I’m sorry to be writing this e-mail instead of meeting you in person, preferably in the Oval Office, where I belong. Soon, soon.
Nevertheless, and notwithstanding the foregoing, I felt it imperative that I express my deep concern about Russia’s invasion of the tiny, democratically elected sovereign nation of Georgia. It would appear that you are not familiar with my platform for change and hope. War does not fit into this template, and I am quite frankly at a loss for words to express my deep, deep distress….”

Uppity I’m glad you were able to finally use the dean cat image I found.
I’m sure it’s how deaniebaby feels about puma, and probably barky after last night.
I got it upside down. BoBo’s putrid character is not engrafted upon his lacks. His putrid character is the base upon which all else about him sits. Though he can study history and current events, he can never be more than he is right now. Character is who we are, a product of nature and earliest nurture. Character is permanent. Hence, Obama will never be ready to be POTUS.
Obama will never be POTUS. Thank you Mary.
OT great post UW but wanted to add this below..
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) — Fighting between Clinton and Obama supporters continues in Kentucky, as WHAS11 News has learned that Hillary Clinton supporters in Kentucky have filed an official protest with the national Democratic Party.
The complaint alleges that a Hillary Clinton delegate to the national convention was replaced with a Barack Obama supporter, in violation of the party’s rules.
The state party removed Todd Hollenbach, a delegate who supports Clinton, and replaced him with Ruth Ann Palumbo, who supports Obama.
The state party made the change because the DNC requires gender equity at the national convention.
The complaint says that the Kentucky Democratic Party broke the rules when it balanced the gender of the delegate count by replacing a male Clinton supporter with a female Obama supporter.
Delegate Todd Hollenbach was replaced by Ruth Ann Palumbo. Hollenbach supports Clinton, while Palumbo is an Obama supporter.
Last night was stunning. You would need to be deaf and blind not to realize McCain cleaned Obama’s clock. But in Obamaworld vague = thoughtfulness and meandering = nuance.
All of it = BS to me.
The Obama apologists are nearly as pathetic as their candidate’s performance. Obamatrons have claimed McCain cribbed on the answers, that his responses were too “prepared,” as if knowing what you’re talking about or taking firm positions is a form of cheating. I even read suggestions that McCain had his hearing aide on hi-def.
It would be funny if it weren’t so sad. I certainly do not agree with McCain on all issues. But there’s little doubt who is prepared for the office of POTUS and who is the “grand pretender.”
It means the pre-election debates are going to be a walk on the wild side. McCain scored big last night. I wish he’d faced Hillary Clinton; she would have given him a run for his money.
But against Obama? No contest. Barack Obama looked and sounded like the rookie he truly is.
Woot! Justme, do you have a link to that story PLEASE??????
OT/saw this on another site and wanted to post for you all
Any-hoo folks we are not alone in our view of what is happening and what is really possible.
People who do not refer to themselves as PUMAs are PUMAs at heart and they are in action.
Prepare for some very cool shifts to happen this week. Specifically Wednesday (or Thurs at the latest).
It seems the SDs got a hold of video footage showing details of illegal caucus activities.
Will there be a change of heart at the convention?
A youtube video should be out this week.
When I get it will bring it along for all to see
I will get it and bring it over UW ASAP link… OK
http://www.whas11.com/news/local/stories/WHAS11_POLITICS_080814_CLINTONOBAMA.486a4d97.html
Oh that would be super, Just me! Thanks! Sounds like something I would be very interested in.
Opps that is the link : forgot to say : you know how it is LOL
Have you seen Dr Long’s site on the caucus fraud? SHe has really done it up well. I plan to cover it.
http://www.lynettelong.com/CAUCUSFRAUD/
Have a gander.
Thanks! Yum!
I have and a friend does the youtubes and gets them to SD so I will get the one mentioned above on the fraud when I get it…. think they are working in-line.
maybe not post that above!!!! i will keep u updated asap
In Sacramento there will be a
Good luck with the event and I’m delighted you’re recognizing the suffrage movement. I wish all the candidates knew about my book, “Winning the Vote: The Triumph of the American Woman Suffrage Movement” because then they would realize how important women have always been in our political life, and how earthshaking (and heroic) winning the vote for women was. And how strong and important women voters are today.
I trust you know of the suffrage parade in Sacramento on Saturday Aug 23? The link is: http://womenequalityparade.com/. If you could spread the word in any way, we would all appreciate it. This is the third annual event; it’s fun and colorful and is leading up to the California suffrage centennial in 2011.
Thank you for thinking of me.
http://womenequalityparade.com/
Best,
Robert Cooney
How pathetic is is that we have to go through Suffrage again because of these pigs. we will not only never forgive them for what they have done, we will make certain they NEVER live it down.
very sad !! we need to be strong!
Let them all pack there bags and go away!!
Huge hugs to you always!!
JUST ME: Can this imminent video be? Did you say it’s going out to all the Superdelegates?
It seems the SDs got a hold of video footage showing details of illegal caucus activities.
Will update as soon as possible…..
I do think the MSM is getting a teeny bit more tentative on Junior. First, the brushed off his flippies with a sort of “Naw, not him” thing, now they just report them straightup. Someone over the weekend said he should have taken his vacay after the election. They still always torque the subject around to what he needs to do to win, though, which is not reporting.
He couldn’t wait till after the election. The guy is a slug and burns out. Barky’s not used to working for too long. Hillary burned him out during the primaries when he went and vacationed on a tropical island. He’s got low energy. And when he thinks he’s doing well, he slacks off. He’s a slacker. He’s a crasher. You can tell.
