Nothing Like Family: Obama’s Brother Lives in A Shanty in Nairobi

The Seconding Coming of Camelot. Indeed.

The Real Barack Obama reports that the Italian branch of Vanity Fair has found Barack Obama’s long lost brother living in a shanty near Nairobi. At age 26, his mother must have been one of the three wives Barack Obama Senior left behind when a car crash interrupted his attempt to populate as much of the world as possible.

Nick Pisa of the UK’s The Telegraph reports today that the Italian Vanity Fair has located 26-year old George Hussein Onyango Obama, living in a “two metre by three metre shack” in a “ramshackle town of Huruma on the outskirts of Nairobi.”

 

No-one knows who I am,” he told the magazine, before claiming: “I live here on less than a dollar a month.” [...]

Vanity Fair also noted that he had a front page newspaper picture of his famous brother – born of the same father as him, Barack Hussein Obama, but to a different mother, named only as Jael.

He told the magazine: “I live like a recluse, no-one knows I exist.”

Embarrassed by his penury, he said that he does not mention his famous half-brother in conversation.

“If anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related. I am ashamed,” he said. [...]

He has only met his famous older brother twice – once when he was just five and the last time in 2006 when Senator Obama was on a tour of East Africa and visited Nairobi.

The Illinois senator mentions his brother in his autobiography, describing him in just one passing paragraph as a “beautiful boy with a rounded head”.

Of their second meeting, George Obama said: “It was very brief, we spoke for just a few minutes. It was like meeting a complete stranger.”

This isn’t exactly Hyannisport Senator Obama. Please stop pretending you channel the Kennedys’ “Family Values” any longer. Thanks!

You really ought to stop bitching and moaning about the life you had, Barry. You lived a middle class existence while going to an elite prep school. Looks to me like you did a whole lot better than your grandmother in Kenya who lives in a hut while you live in a fine home in Hyde Park. So much for “Family First”.

All of this kind of makes me wonder about how well you want to live as President while everybody else can eat hut mud for all you care. I mean, if you don’t care about your own blood, how on earth can you possibly care about America’s poor who aren’t even related to you? One look at photos of those Chicago slums you helped Tony Rezko to “renovate” are pretty strong indicators of the answer to that question.
