Chris Matthews…..tried to fake cry…..couldn’t do it….made it clear he loves black people……made it clear only Democrats love black people…..and the mentally ill….and the poor…..declared the speech a classic….if you don’t love Michelle Obama your racist
Over to Tom Brokaw for an attempt at journalistic credibility…..Brokaw caved…….Michelle Obama is perfect in his eyes also……if you don’t agree your just cynical…..
Over to raspy-voiced Andrea Mitchell w/ Chicago machine Boss…….Mayor Richard Daley….who……surprisingly concurs…..Michelle’s perfect….if you don’t agree…..he’ll have your legs broken…….

Generous, charitable person that I am, I tried to watch the proceedings but bailed out after 5 minutes. Watching the slobbering over Chappaquidick Ted appalled me.
By the way, didn’t he try to unseat a sitting President of his own party in 1980?
Clinton continues to get high marks for her conduct since quitting the race for the nomination on June 7, despite a great deal of reported behind-the-scenes intrigue over her speech at the convention and putting her name in nomination. Sixty percent (60%) of voters rate her conduct good or excellent, while only 10% characterize it as poor. Even 52% of Republicans give her good or excellent marks.
Only 34% of African-American voters feel that way, however, and 23% rate her conduct as poor.

If only the speech could have been credible…

I really, really hope that most of the American public is too smart to get suckered by this stuff. The thought that Obama might get a significant, lasting bounce from the convention makes me nervous.

Last night I happened to see KO & Tweety after the speech (late night replay)….YUCK. When they switched to Andrea with Daley I just turned it off. BOs endorsement of Daley in the spring of 07 was when I had his number. The Chicagoans against BO is one of my favorites
. I also saw BO lose track of where he was. I do have to say I feel for those 2 little girls. I can see they miss their dad, and their young lives must be upside down. I’ve taken a few short trips with my 10yo daughter, and she is ready for her home, her dad and her pets after about a week. I could see those girls were just aching for there father, and that part did pull at my heart.
I didn’t watch it–too late. I am reading about the speech now. If this is supposed to be the American experience, I don’t see it–a little too much Ivy and too little junior collitch. Also she rose as is everyone’s dream to hospital administrator in a hosp that dumps people who can’t pay. Ah, bliss. Also–all those family values and the kids wonder what city pop is in–and he also lives apart from them during the week. It’s so tacky. I am sick of this whole thing!
