This is my work, first published here, that was stolen from this blog and circulated among other innocent bloggers—without my link credit. It also got bastardized by a very bad writer in an email as well. Should you see this piece anywhere, I would appreciate if you would tell the person posting it and give them this link as the original publication, published on August 2, 2008. I also published this piece here at No Quarter On August 3, 2008 with full credits, so it’s possible they took it from there as well. I realize that imitation is a sincere form of flattery, but plagiarism is not. Plagiarism is thievery. Believe it or not, I will very likely eventually bump into the original person who did the five-finger discount on my work. Takes a little time, but it’s been known to happen. This would be the same person who would freak out if somebody broke into their house and stole their Plasma TV, but they have no problem stealing other people’s intellectual property. The worst part is other people who are innocent end up embarrassed. But the good news: I met some great bloggersand message board people last night! Most of them cited me right away. A few were A Holes but I’m not done with them. lol.
Hope you enjoy the piece again! It’s one of my favorites, which is why I am doubly ticked off.

Oh, sorry sir. I didn’t mean to get off the track. So if you could just help me out a minute and give me some details, I will get right out of your way. I want to close this case and maybe take the wife to Coney Island or something. Ever been to Coney Island? No, I didn’t think so…….
Well, listen, anyways, I can’t seem to get some information I need to wrap this up. These things seem to either be “locked” or “not available’. I’m sure it’s just some oversight or glitch or something, so if you could you tell me where these things are….. I….I…. have them written down here somewhere….oh wait. Sorry about the smears. A friend from DC (no longer there) I had not heard from in over a decade called me out of the blue…to shoot the breeze about a novel he has coming out. We got on politics–I said, well, if you hate me, you hate me, but I am voting Republican this time. He said, “I am glad you said that! I don’t feel so weird.” He didn’t like Junior’s weird-ass associations and friends and I just have a gut feeling there is something wrong with this guy and I don’t know who is behind him. It was a funny moment and made up for some of the friends I have apparently lost. Even my best friend and partner tried to tell me I should just vote in Dems..I said maybe we can’t discuss this.j
I know. Everybody here knows and understands in a big way that I am an active democrat. Not this year. Shocking. I know. But you will notice more and more people saying ‘ I’m glad you said that’
living in Mt., I am for the first time voting McCain instead of the democrat because I simply don’t trust Obama, and really don’t know what he stands for as he keeps flip flopping…I also don’t like Biden and his bankrupsy mess that he managed to pass into law a while back…You are one of my favorite blogs Uppity and if I see any of your work copied I will sure leave a strong message about it….love ya….

I have a few holdouts who are not responding to my messages. Their next message will be from an attorney.
That can be so infuriating. I just left a comment on one of the bloggers that appropriated it saying that a quick search would have shown the original source which should be credited and linked to.
It’s definitely viral though. It’s even on Craig’s List. The cool thing is that a LOT of people will see it and those that matter will find out where it came from.

Americans should be VERY disturbed about what has happened this election season.
Barrack Obama has advertisements up that say, “Come join the “movement”!” (Movement? I thought we were electing a president?)
We have a corrupt and biased news media who is furthering the Obama “movement” by hiding all the details of his corrupt and anti-American past.
We have teachers teaching their students to sing songs praising Obama, much like is done in church when people sing praising God.
We have a cult-like mindset across the United States. We have people who follow Obama much like the zealots followed Jim Jones, David Koresh, and Hitler.
We have a presidential candidate who says, “I am the one you have been waiting for” and who designs his OWN presidential seal and now a flag. We have a presidential candidate who doesn’t salute our flag and who goes overseas and talks trash about our country. Yet we have people right here in the United States who still want to vote for him.
I find all of this very disturbing. I have done my research and tried to find ONE extraordinary thing that Barrack Obama has done in his lifetime to deserve all this worship and devotion.
Did he ever climb a tree to save a kitten? No. Did he give away all his money to the poor? No. Did he ever travel to a third world country and take along a present or some food for the starving? No.
So now I am asking one of you Obama-bots who are so soaked in the Obama Kool-aid to tell me ONE thing extraordinary that Barrack Obama has done for his fellow man that has earned your devotion.
I am only asking for one.
