This morning of FNC they were criticizing Palin for attending possibly 6 different colleges before getting her degree. Saying it shows a lack of commitment. No facts for proof, just something the read on a liberal blog. The night before Gretta was interviewing Palin and she told of having to get scholarships though pageants to pay for school. They were making it out like she couldn’t make up her mind. But it was more than likely financial.

I had to go to 4 or 5 colleges to finish my degree. You pick up a class here and there as time permits. I started at a community college, went to a university, then had to go back to a couple of community colleges and another university to get the credits I needed. What a bunch of bullsh*T! Seriously, education doesn’t necessarily equate to good sense or good decision-making skills. Some of the smartest people I have known and learned from had very little formal education.
My college experiences taught me very little compared to what the Real World taught me.

UW: Education is good, but in the absence of a critical faculty, schooling is a waste of time and money. Howard Dean is a prime example. Most MD’s I’ve met function at the lowest leverl of high intelligence–they are good memorizers. So much for Howie.

I went to 3 schools. I had a GPA in the 1s one semester. It took me 6 years to get my Bachelors. Now, I have a GPA of 3.7 and a Master’s degree in the spring. But then I wasn’t getting a JD, which every ambulance-chaser on TV has.
Mary, having been in both arenas, academia is distinctly different from the real world.
In academia you can be as idealistic as you would like, but that does not necessarily mean it applies to the real world.

causing problems for it (otherwise i guess its ok) . Well that is great but he isnt going to make
me believe we should let down our guard and give these people any
more of a chance than they already have- as far as I am concerned
this is dangerous and would lead to more extremists groups in our
country that want to do us harm. We cant afford this right now.
This slip has opened a whole line of thought that reaffirms what he
has said and done before and also reaffirms his connections in his
early life and his whole political life. I think he is getting so
comfortable with his success that he feels he can say what he wants
and the line between what is politically correct and what he actually
thinks is becoming blurred. I noticed that he didnt recognize it has a mistake- really he looks so laid back , he could be on drugs- he is using that manner of dealing with the white man that he discussed in his book- just smile and say something nice and the white man wont get upset because obama wasnt being confrontive – or something like that . That was his method of handling the white people he met when he was younger- sounds like it still is his method. JMO
