Peekaboo, Reverend Wright, Goddamn Ya!

Cross Posted from The Real Barack Obama, who always learns this stuff before I do!

Laura Meckler wrote yesterday evening, September 19, 2008, in the Wall Street Journal:

Don’t be shocked if you see the McCain campaign pull the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright out of mothballs in new attacks against one-time parishioner, Barack Obama.

McCain advisers say that they see “attack by association” as fair game now, arguing that Obama’s campaign has been using that technique to go after McCain. In particular, the Obama campaign has hammered McCain on the stump and in TV ads on the number of one-time lobbyists working for his campaign. (The McCain campaign is also angry about a Spanish-language TV ad that ties McCain to Rush Limbaugh on immigration, without ever saying that McCain took on Limbaugh and others to fight for comprehensive immigration reform.)

“They played it one way, we played it another way,” said one of McCain’s top advisers, Mark Salter. “Now we’re both going to play it the same way.” [...]

Salter said … the campaign was tired of “catching the spears.” Asked whether to expect attacks involved Wright, campaign spokesman Michael Goldfarb said: “We’ve seen all throughout the (Democratic) primary this guy has a lot of associations that are very problematic.”

Hot Air’s Allahpundit commented

I’m simply weak at the thought of the magnificent theatrical sorrow to which we’ll be treated when the blogosphere’s shrillest Obama mega-shills find out. If Joe Klein and Sullivan don’t already have pieces prepared for the occasion, consider their weekend schedules cleared.

Allahpundit also reminds us that, back in April, Obama himself said the Rev. Wright controversy raised a ‘legitimate issue’.

Note Goldfarb’s comment “this guy has a lot of associations that are very problematic.” Perhaps Wright is just the beginning?

Cross your fingers!

  1. Rev. Wright has more integrity than Barack Obama. While I don’t agree with Rev. Wright’s views, he is harmless.

William Ayers and Tony Rezko are a whole different issue.

  2. Pass the popcorn, i am ready! :OD

  3. myiq2xu,
The last thing that Rev. “BothWays” Wrong is is harmless. He is destructive to the black community instilling a victim mentality in his congregation along with a militant mentality towards whom he feels are making them victims and keeping them down. Plus he is damaging to barky “he’s just a politician”.

  4. sarainitaly, move over…I’m bringing drinks w/the popcorn…this is gonna be fun to watch.

  5. Go McCain!!!! Fight Back & Fight Hard. Obama has no honor and integrity, he deserves that everything come out. And when he whines that we are racists, of well…

    Don’t forget:

If you believe Obama violated the Logan act go to this link. It’s so easy to voice your concern. We have set up this petition with (www.rallycongress.com).

Note: use the “send for free” option.

  6. I’m hoping Obama does something stupid in the debate and questions McCain’s honor. It would be the perfect opportunity for “Mr. Obama you have never shown honor in your whole life. Tell me one moment you have done something honorable at the cost of your own self interest.

  7. I hope McCain starts NOW, he’s been too gentle. There is plenty to expose on Obama. But thanks to the media whores, corrupt DNC, and communist terrorist friends he’s gotten this far. It’s disgraceful. McCain has to finish him off now!

  8. the link between black liberation theology & Obama’s coziness with extreme left opinion might be a comparison hard to draw for some voters. but the money issues should easily hit home. TUCC received $15 million in federal grants over a period of 15 yrs. Rev Wright’s & Father Phleger’s racist & sexists rants should be given plenty of air time in ads. their churches get plenty of fed bucks so their message is relevant. they should loose their tax exempt status too. i would post my opinons on NQ with the new Catholic video, but Matthew Weaver has blocked my ip for the past week. he’s decided what type of Obama dissent is acceptable. bare mention of numbers of Islamic centers & Islamic charter schools in S. FL was an accusation that all muslims are terrorists in his opinon. i didn’t mean it that way. it was a criticism of the sexist ideology of Islamic culture & Obama’s tolerance of it. Catholic Church has persecuted women equally. they came close to Sharia law in Ireland until the late 60’s.
the chief enabler for Priest/pedophiles is now the Pope. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/panorama/5402928.stm
    Weaver’s posts suck btw. he’s a paid blogger & a shitty one.

  9. P4P he would say that he became an street agitator I mean community organizer instead of cashing in on his law degree.

But he wont say he worked to help the educational system in Chicago via the CAC.

  10. The best part about that is he was one of the most undistinguished Harvard law students in history. He can’t say he gave up a law career if he was not offered one single job from a major law firm, which he has never proved.

  11. P4P That’s true to us because we know better. But the MSM has made the public believe that he was top of his class and president of the Law Review for reasons other than “token black” or someone pulling strings.

Don’t forget that CNN has been running the barky infomercial in heavy rotation.

  12. And this is why McCain has to act while the filter is off. Ask him for job offers. Ask him for names of people he worked with.

McCain has got to ask Obama about every questionable aspect of his record while the Obots are sitting in the control room holding the hands over their ears because the truth is entering their minds and it burns. This is his chane to get Barky so far off his game he can’t think straight.

  13. I don’t understand why McCain needed an excuse to go after this guy. Unless he figured Obama was doing a great job sinking his own ship. Bring on those 527s already!

  14. raGing –

I’m sorry about the censorship. They wouldn’t allow people to use Oblowme’s middle name, which I never understood.

If they think Muslim is a fine religion, why the problem using his middle name?

And they wouldn’t allow Oblowme’s own quotes from his crappy books.

    It’s bizarre.

Have you been watching the devastation at the Marriott resort in Islamabaad, Pakistan where the hotel was bombed because it’s American owned?!!

Look at the pics on AOL.

And the Oblowmes took their children to a hate monger!

  15. Hi Nobama ,
Many thanks for the link. Although I e-mailed my reps last week demanding an investigation into BoBo’s Logan Act violations, usng the squeaky-wheel theory, I just took advantage of the info you provided to make sure they were paying attention.

  16. Hi myiq2xu,

Respectfully disagree. Did you see and hear Wright’s congregation screaming for blood during their pastor’s attacks on America and Hillary? No, Wright is far, far from harmless. There is nothing more powerful than an idea.

  17. imustprotest: “I don’t understand why McCain needed an excuse to go after this guy”

    Hi imp,
I’m glad McCain is taking the advice of those who have told him that he must fight fire with fire.
I think it must rub against the grain for JM to resort to Obama’s unsavory tactics. “Going after ” people is not who McCain is. He is a man of honor, a word of which Obama has never heard–unless it is immediately followed by the word “Killings.”

  18. For all who have missed it, Wright studied Nation of Islam theology before he realized he couldn’t compete with Farrakhan. So he decided to set up shop for himself. Different church, but same pew.

  19. That and Farrakhan is a Muslim. So, Barky is supposedly not a Muslim, yet joins the most Muslim Christian church because of the pastor, (and to hobnob with other bigoted African Americans) who studied under the Nation of Islam.

Now it makes sense. Barky bans women with headscarves from being behind him on camera, not because he doesn’t want to look Muslim. He bans them because they are unclean and he plans to burn them.

  20. Anxiously await the the Rev Wright Show.
Anticipate it will be a warm up act for heavier artillery afterwards.
