It seems that Senator “I’ve Got A Bracelet Too” Obama forgot to mention a small detail during the debate when he forgot the name of the dead soldier whose bracelet was given to him by the soldier’s mother. Actually, he forgot to mention two things. First, they asked him to take it off because they were sick of watching Obama exploit their son. Secondly, the reason he continues to say the soldier’s mother gave it to him–was a lie.
She just wanted you to know his name, Barack. Not that you gave a shit. You couldn’t even remember his name, but then again, you’re a Narcissist and other people’s lives really aren’t that important to vain and shallow You, are they now?

Radio host Glenn Moberg of the show “Route 51″ asked Mr. Jopek, a man who believes in the efforts in Iraq and is not in favor of Obama’s positions on the war, what he and his ex-wife think of Obama continually using their son’s name on the campaign trail.
Jopek began by saying that his ex-wife was taken aback, even upset, that Obama has made the death of her son a campaign issue. Jopek says his wife gave Obama the bracelet because “she just wanted Mr. Obama to know Ryan’s name.” Jopek went on to say that “she wasn’t looking to turn it into a big media event” and “just wanted it to be something between Barack Obama and herself.” Apparently, they were all shocked it became such a big deal.

The media should be sued, I wonder if there is a way we can start a class-action suit against them. We should be able to sue, them and their sponsors.
This is not a third world country, but you would never know it by the way we are being treated. Now Obama has the state of Missouri going after anybody who thinks may have lied about Obama.

raging, that is what Obama has been doiing this whole time. He’s using people’s Democratic affiliation to wedge them into supporting him. Basically, if you don’t support Obama, you’re not a Democrat. Some people are gritting their teeth and living with it. Unfortunately for him, many others have decided that there is only so far left the party can be pushed before it’s not the Democratic Party.
After many..many years as a democrat…I would be ashamed to vote democratic. The party amounts to nothing. No truths…no morals..no dignity. When a party has to stoop this low to have the candidate of their choice,,are they worth supporting? To put the finishing touch on everything…they are so corrupt that we will probably see this idiot in office. I am getting nauseous writing this. How any democrat in touch with anything can possibly support what is going on is so beyond me. I have lots more to say…but I will probably be visited by the truth squad!!

Tipper Gore used to bemoan the lack of civility, but it seems like now there’s not even any decency. Any person with even the slightest sense of honor would obey the request of the deceased soldier’s parents. But not Obama. Big media will never report on this.
And I feel your pain, Betty. I have that same sick feeling as in 2000. I kept thinking that surely voters would not choose Bush over Gore; the right choice seemed so clear to me. But no, enough voted for Bush that they were able to steal Florida and give it to him. I know people are probably sick of me writing this, but I really believe the big money people who put Bush in are behind Obama; with the voting machines now in use, who knows what they’ll do or where they’ll strike.
At least if they put Obama in, we country hicks who have been ridiculed by him will be able to grow our own food when things get really bad — right up until he signs an Executive Order making us turn over the family farm to ACORN. Sigh. I’m getting silly with this, but when you consider the Truth Squad, I may not be far off the mark.

That video was hilarious (since I had mentioned the family farm, I was afraid it was a clip from Grapes of Wrath). What a difference a few months make, though. The video was made back when we still worried about Republicans stealing the election and before Obama showed his considerable talent in this area to knock Hillary out of the race. Totally off topic but I loved the crawl item about it turning out the Ohio conjoined twins were just standing really close together. I think the real news may put the Onion out of business, though. I saw an item the other day about a school principal somewhere who didn’t want students using obscene words, so he printed up and handed out to each of them a list of the words they were not to use. Man, those parents they interviewed were pissed (and I think that word was on the list). We are truly living in bizarre times — I’m voting Republican, Democrats hate women, feminists hate women. Again, sigh.

raGing, do you have a link for the two voting machine videos you mentioned? I did a search and so many came up that when I tried to look through them, I just became more depressed and frightened as they were mostly about how vulnerable the machines are to being hacked.
I watched those videos. I’ve been told by a co-worker who used to build voting machines that it is highly unlikely that they can be hacked.
However. If you have an electronic voting machine with a paper trail, make SURE that the paper says exactly what you chose and that it fully processes. In fact, if you have an electronic voting machine, try to get a provisional or absentee ballot instead.
