The man just has no soul in my book. A truly cruel dry drunk. But I gotta play this because, in his own disconnected- from- the- rest- of- society way, he is…….sputter……….right in this case. His argument is one in favor of that horrible thing known as….gasp….Democracy. Rep. John Lewis needs to be former Rep Lewis. He was back there during Hillary’s campaign snickering and whipping up the race baiting behind the scenes. I’m sick of this race crap. They not only set race relations back 75 years, they are permanently damaging the claim for instances in, which it truly applies.

Maybe a month ago, before the “credit crisis,” on The Obama Matthews show, one of the panelists said that Obama wanted to change the first debate topic from domestic issues to foreign policy (and I’d rather hear Mac say “my friends” 1000 times than hear barky say pockyston again).
The reason for the topic change was that he doesn’t want the issue of race to come up. Their campaign has always feared that bringing up race turns Barky into the “angry black man” in the race. With people like Michelle “I’m ashamed of America” Obama and Jerimiah “damn America” Wright on his friends list it could be potential kryptonite to undecided white voters.

For years, I have held my nose while supporting and voting for Lewis — ignoring misconduct out of respect and sympathy for a tarnished legacy.
One of my favorite shoulder surfers just let out a little gasp, so I am ending it here. She may have a good point that my voting record might betray a subtle type of racism.

When I make a pie, I like to make two. I give one away and keep one for my family. Now if someone comes over and says that both pies belong to them and I can keep a slice for myself before they take them away, why on Earth would I ever make another pie again!? I will just wait for a piece of your pie…….it’s perfectly fine, although maybe not as tasty as mine! Every once in awhile, I might make my own pies again, but when they come take them it will remind me to not even bother….

I wonder if anyone has ever done a study of charitable giving during times with higher taxes vs. times with lower taxes. We have always shared our pie(s), but this year have had to cut back our giving to charities that we are not directly involved with.
My ultra liberal friends only give to their alma maters, not to charities……they think the govt will take care of that. Of course, when you give enough to your alma mater, you get your name written down somewhere.

Why is the MSM not doing investigative reporting about the top executives and shareholders of these big financial institutions, their party affiliations, contributions, and their relationship, if any, to Paulson, Obama, McCain, Dodd, Frank, Pelosi etc?
I heard somewhere else that hedge funds have been shorting. I know Soros has a big hedge fund. Who or what are these hedge funds and is there anyway to know what their activities have been these past 2 weeks? The MSM says the economy is THE story this election, but they don’t do any reporting on it except to scare everyone and tell viewers a bad economy benefits Obama.
You’ll hear none of this from the business reporters on CNBC. First, they’re all Democrats. Jim “put all your money in shotguns and toilet paper” Cramer is an admitted democrat who believes he can game the market better with Democrats in office. Then there are other business reporters who don’t want to get into “politics” but took ridiculous aounts of time explaining every detail about how Martha Stewart was guilty when she did nothing wrong. And by the way, it looks like ImClone was sold at a profit.
Among my wish list items is that this recinding of ACORN’s funding. The irony of Obama throwing ACORN under the bus would be pretty sweet. Of course, it would never happen.

Mark, that is a devastating video. With all the information coming out about his many connections to ACORN, it’s no wonder Obama has thrown an entire deck of race cards out there. Has any group used this in an ad? It would make a really good one — needs more emphasis on the fact that Obama was one of the attorneys of record in the suits to compel banks to make the bad loans.

I’m the nicest guy in the world in some circumstances. I also have a terrible temper when it comes to being called wrong. When I know I’m right, it’s even worse. I’m the one who would insult barky even more strongly were I called a racist. I though john McCain was one of those men as well. If the 2000 campaign turned him into the bland candidate that he is today, Bush may actually be responsible for a worse president than himself being elected. It is not honorable for an hoorable man to let a dishonorable man succeed while McCain stands there and does nothing.

CNBC are the same bastards who had those guys on in the late 90s who used the Wall Street code. When they told people to buy, the institutional guys knew to hold. When they said hold, it meant sell. And who knows what it meant if a hedge fund guy told people on TV to sell. It probably never happened.

I’ve worked hard at baking my own pies. No one has ever offered me a piece of theirs, but I have douled out thousands of pies to help give food stamps, welfare, state health care, state rehabiliation services, and even state and federal prison services to millions of “non-bakers.” However, it seems these “pie eaters” need to join “Overeaters Anonymous,” because they always need…more pie (apple, lemon meringue, pumpkin, blueberry, strawberry, chocolate cream, banana cream, key lime, coconut, and even peach).
The last time I looked, this country had a FREE public education system. Perhaps if some people need more pie, they should try to get a real education (which means applying themselves.) Then, they could buy their own bakeries and eat pie every day.
