I believe that story of the burning of Mccain sign. My incident was as followed. My neighbor and I are the ones who dare put up Mccain signs. Most of us are old ex-hillary supporters but some of us don’t want anyone to know who we are voting for- beats me why- but that is how things are. On Tuesday, we have pick up trash day- when the afternoon came around everybody’s trash was picked up except mine and the neighbor who had the sign. Look, I am half colored and I will save anyone here from thinking what is going on. The minority of people that pick up trash are african americans. There I said it- call me racist. Anyway, I made such a big issue with the City- that the young men have to make a special run and pick up my trash. On Friday, my trashcan was standing there I and purposely came out and looked at the trashmen and I screamed – YEAH I AM BLACK TOO-PICK UP THE DAMN TRASH CAN KOOLAID!!The guys stood there with their mouths open because my neighbor too is african american and I guess they thought we were a bunch of typical white bitter clinging to gun and religion folks- I guess we have them all in different colors too.

Mary and Maddy, I don’t know what’s up with Hillary either. I sort of agree with Mary that Dean, Pelosi and Brazile faction may be trying to turn her supporters against her, but I think it’s to prevent her from getting the nomination in 2012. It’s beginning to work with me, because at some point I would like for her to stand up to them, put the country first, and tell the truth that Obama is the worst possible choice for President (or, back in the real world, at least stop campaigning for him).
She was in Little Rock campaigning for Obama this past week. I hung up without even listening to two automated calls trying to get people to attend the rally, one from David Pryor and one from her. The news reported that “hundreds” were present. I don’t know if that was accurate, but the day she just draws “hundreds” is a sign things are not going good for either her or Obama here.
I’m never going back to the Democratic Party.
I just like to think about how many people, women and men, have seen this picture and decided to vote against the Democrats downticket as well as vote for McCain-Palin. Good job, fools. Keep it up.

Deadenders–you’re absolutely right. I’m on the same page, though it may not sound like it. NONE of this makes any sense to me at the moment, which is why I’m adopting a “wait and see” attitude about it all in regards to Hillary. Too much can be going on in the background that I’m not privy to at the time to make a snap decision (at least for me–I’m only speaking for myself) regarding HRC’s motives for what she’s doing. The whole primary season made no sense to me–what if I had just taken it at face value at the time and surmised that “BO just ran a better campaign and she lost”? I’m not attempting to justify lying. My status as a former Dem/now Indie reflects that. I just have a nagging gut feeling that there’s WAY more to this than meets the eye. Not to stir up a conpsiracy hornet’s nest, but where does the murder of Bill Gwatney fit in to all of this?? We’ve seen that BO will DO ANYTHING to attain the White House, and his minions will do anything for him. I may come around to your point of view about HRC–when I feel I have all the facts. You are correct that the Democratic party has been hijacked by extremists to the left. And the repbulican party was hijacked for 8 years by extremists to the right. Extremism is a path to destruction. The problems in this country stem from lack of attention to important issues because we have been driven to pay attention to wedge issues. In the meantime, nobody was paying attention to the other things that were going on. This was deliberate. Both parties are hijacked and frankly I hate them both. I want to see some sensible moderation in my government like it used to be. I want them to be moderate in all things, not extremists toward one philosphy or another. Extremism is destroying this country!
No regulation is no better than too much regulation. Both of these parties have become busybodies and they have forgotten what a Democratic government is for.

How best to run a society is really the question that’s being debated, but we are focusing the argument on whether Obama or McCain is embracing the method that best works, which isn’t exactly how to find balance in a method, is it? I mean choosing two men out of millions and saying: Fix this, is daunting. I’m thinking that intertwined in the social question — how to treat citizens — is the new news emerging about serious government corruption. For instance, to me, there is a double question in this race for the White House: 1 – Government methods that keep us FREE, and 2- Cleaning up corruption.
How to best tackle these two questions are what we are deciding. Did I tell you that NAZI stands for United Socialist Worker’s Party? Hitler preached constantly that HE knew how to CLEAN up the CORRUPTION and give the country BACK TO THE PEOPLE? Of course, you know this, but it continues to cross my mind because my dad as a soldier helped free Jewish people in German concentration camps in WWII, and it took a lot of killing for Hitler to clean his country of what he believed to be corruption.
I keep reminding myself to be careful how angry I get versus formulating a humane plan for reeorganizing our government so the people can enjoy having a country that is pleasant to live in, and not a dictatorship or commune-style of life where we are all reduced to beggers. Our country seems to have accepted a welfare state already, so many of our own people do not comprehend why some of us are so hot about the subject.
