Way to go, John. Now remind PA of how they are “Bitter hicks”. And don’t forget to mention Tony Rezko singing. And how about that Rashid Khalidi and Rezko’s sidekick, the Iraqi prison escapee Alsammarae, who just happens to be hanging out in Chicago. Where else? Fannie Mae anyone? Oh and don’t forget to mention the three brothers in the Hamas compound who contributed to Obama’s campaign. You know, the ones Obama ‘forgot’ to report to the FEC? How racist of you!
PRINCETON, NJ — The latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking report finds registered voters preferring Barack Obama (50%) to John McCain (43%) when asked who they would vote for if the presidential election were held today.
These results, based on Oct. 9-11, represent a narrowing of Obama’s lead over McCain. Obama led by double-digits for three consecutive days last week, but now his advantage is down to seven percentage points. Obama has led in each of the last three individual days’ polling, but by less than double-digits each day, suggesting that the race is, in fact, tightening.
Likely Voter Estimates
Obama’s current advantage is slightly less when estimating the preferences of likely voters, which Gallup will begin reporting on a regular basis between now and the election. Gallup is providing two likely voter estimates to take into account different turnout scenarios.
The first likely voter model is based on Gallup’s traditional likely voter assumptions, which determine respondents’ likelihood to vote based on how they answer questions about their current voting intention and past voting behavior. According to this model, Obama’s advantage over McCain is 50% to 46% in Oct. 9-11 tracking data.
The second likely voter estimate is a variation on the traditional model, but is only based on respondents’ current voting intention. This model would take into account increased voter registration this year and possibly higher turnout among groups that are traditionally less likely to vote, such as young adults and racial minorities (Gallup will continue to monitor and report on turnout indicators by subgroup between now and the election). According to this second likely voter model, Obama has a 51% to 45% lead over McCain. — Jeff Jones

"This is not culture. This is not custom. This is criminal."
ooooh! Sarah just said the bitter clingy stuff to a rally in Ohio.
Shave his ass Johnny, shave his ass.
Well, the roller coaster continues, but I’m getting off. I just went through and marked my absentee CA ballot, so I’m done. I voted for McCain-Palin, and a straight Republican ticket on national and state offices (first time ever but the Dems deserve punishment!) Then for local offices I voted for all the women, followed by the non-incumbents. The 10 California propositions were a mixed bag of energy, social issues and law enforcement and transporation bond measures, so I voted with my conscience on those. Time to mail it in.
I’m getting so stressed out with this election, I may not even watch the last debate. I don’t think I can take any more. Maybe I’ll just check in with the blogs on November 5 to celebrate or commiserate.
McCain/Palin need to keep talking about Ayers, Rezco, ACORN. It’s working! You know when the MSM tells McCain he should stop doing something…..he should do the opposite!
I said this early on in June after Hillary stepped aside…the republicans need to make sure that they have all of their own getting to the polls and the independent/PUMAs will take care of the rest. A great commercial for the McCain campaign would be listing the issues and using Barack’s own words and voice saying what his stand was then and what his stand is now…major flip flopper…and the independents will come running.
Is there hope? You know, I’m one of those bitter clingers, but those remarks weren’t as offensive to me as his “sweetie” remark and nasty remarks to Hillary. But the one that made me really hate him was the vibrating phone quip. That one pissed off every woman I know.
By the way, could someone point me to the vibrating phone thing? I never saw this and it sounds blogworthy for me.
I hope this is the beginning of a trend, and not just an isolated bump or an outlier… But I’m scared to get my hopes up at this point.
And the sampling for Gallup is skewed towards Democrats
I know that these freaking polls have been rigged. Now that the $ crisis shock but morphed into voter anger, maybe we’re at that point where even the O-fixers can no longer diddle the polls.
