I was hesitant to put this video up because I am one of those people who needs proof when I see something. The video includes editor text discussing a man named Deepak Bhargava– and states he lobbyed on behalf of ACORN. So I went on a hunt to prove to myself that the man who organized and spoke during this large meetup of Community Organizers in this 2007 video was truly tied in some way to ACORN. I also needed to know if he was truly instrumental in the changes brought forth by the Community Reinvestment Act, which literally removed any solid criteria (as in ability to pay) for home mortgages.
I found this link to the Organizer’s Forum, which not only establishes a relationship, but confirms that Bhargava’s main focus was the Community Reinvestment Act and housing finance, which of course are key to the financial disaster suffered by Fannie Mae and, subsequently, Wall Street:
Board of Directors
Deepak Bhargava
Executive Director Center for Community Change
Deepak was selected as the Executive Director of the Center for Community Change in October 2002, having been at the Center since 1994 in the position of Director of Public Policy. He has developed national grassroots coalitions on issue of public housing and transportation, resulting in significant federal policy changes. Deepak also directed the National Campaign for Jobs and Income Support, a collaboration of 200 grassroots organizations and networks with affiliates in 40 states, which focuses on poverty, economic inequality, and immigration issues. Deepak previously worked at ACORN, leading the organization’s policy work on community reinvestment, fair housing and housing finance, working with the media and testifying before Congress. Deepak currently serves on the boards of the Center on Law and Social Policy, the Applied Research Center, the Center for Immigrant Democracy and the Discount Foundation. Deepak was born in Mysore, India, grew up in New York City and received his BA summa cum laude from Harvard College.
…And so now, here is the video of Barack Obama telling Community Organizers from around the country, which includes ACORN of course, that they will be setting his agenda before he is even inaugurated:

"This is not culture. This is not custom. This is criminal."
Is that Asian woman shown over Deepak’s shoulder in the beginning of this clip the looney choir director of the children’s “Chairman Mao Thought Choir”?
UW I know you capture screen shots of everything but I would recommend you save some of the pages as PDF’s that way the entire web page is copied not just he part you see on the screen. Because this Organizers forum page will be obamatized soon.
scott
obamatized…like it never even happened.
A new picture of Obama has surfaced.

Quote from Dreams From My Father
“Political discussions, the kind that at Occidental had once seemed so intense and purposeful, came to take on the flavor of the socialist conferences that I sometimes attended at Cooper Union or the African cultural fairs that took place in Harlem or Brooklyn during the summers-a few of the many diversions that New York had to offer, like going to a foreign film or ice-skating at the Rockefeller Center.”
Heh. Kind of like an evil ServPro.
Ah…the Hoodwinking and Bamboozling of anyone who works for a living is O-ficially sanctioned.
And the way he refers to his inauguration is very frightening. Looks like the fix has been in since the get-go.
Democracy or even representational government be damned.
I wonder if I decide to support The One, if he will give ME a house too! After all – I am a somewhat homeless typical white person.
Does that get me a freebie?
FOX has Stanley Kurtz on. He’s talking about how Ayers and Obama, while on the Woods Foundation board, funneled money to ACORN through the charitable arm of the foundation. I think this Obama + Ayers = ACORN connection is “where it’s really at,” as Ayers might say.
Plus, it looks like a lot of Americans still don’t know about Barky , Ayers and ACORN. So that video might have a lot of impact if someone would show it.
Uppity – you did an excellent job backing up that video with concrete research. Thank you – Fox network should see this. We should try to make this post as well known as possible. I think voters are getting how bad ACORN is. Pelosi may have done us a huge favor by trying to dish out money to them in the bailout bill.
Thanks again UW.
Morning all,
I spent the day yesterday in PA with Harriet and other Democrats for McCain canvassing neighborhoods. It was a great day and I found many like minded people.
I’d say out of every 10 people we spoke to (Democrats) 4 were committed to voting McCain. Some undecided, some writing in Hillary, some holding their nose and voting Obama and some hard core Obamabots. So all in all it looks like we can swing this to McCain- it’s doable! But the pressure must be kept. Now is not the time to give up or despair. We are in the homestretch- so kick it! Phone bank, continue being committed- disregard polls, MSM and on Nov 4th VOTE McCain.
On another note -I must say this because if not I will burst- Hillary seems to be doing her best to KILL the PUMA movement.
I don’t know what her reasoning is, but it has gone beyond being a good soldier and doing her Duty. In my heart I can’t continue making excuses for her. I still love her and feel she should be our nominee. Will back and support her in anything but Obama- but she is doing herself grave harm- especially with independents, and many in her base.
The hard earned respect she fought for, among them,
people who weren’t her initial supporters but grew to admire and respect her is being thrown away in her support for Obama. She seems to be not only stomping on these, but taking a machine gun to her true loyal supporters. It appears to many we are expendable, but those that kicked her in the teeth are not. If McCain loses, Hillary will have played a huge part in accomplishing that. She has done MORE than any other vanquished candidate- SHE MUST STOP. The time has long come for her to really, truly WALK AWAY.
Obama is the slimiest character I’ve ever run across. I’m with Denise on keeping the pressure on. I’ve found that if you recommend a few good websites (I always recommend this one), even if the Obama supporter doesn’t seem interested, 7 times out of 10, their curiosity is piqued, and in at least a couple of those they start thinking and linking and almost always change their mind about Barky.
Of course, I’m now known as the crazy old cat lady that’s lived in the woods too long.
Uppity how do people get their blogs cross posted at RCP? This should be listed there. Can we help?
Denise: Thanks for the report on Harriet. I wish I could have gone! I completely agree with you about HIllary. It’s gone beyond painful to watch. My friend and I are very upset about what she is doing. this is above and beyond for him. Talk about sell out – she must somewhere believe he’ll be just fine for this country. It’s a huge turn off.
This country (or world for that matter) really needs to wake the F up and walk away from this Jesus-wanna-be. I’m starting to think this guy could beat kittens to death on stage and people would still love him……

oh – and there are no dead kittens in the vid – just humor, I like kittens.
OK everyone go to http://readerarticles.realclearpolitics.com/?period=all
and vote, UW needs 10 votes to get onto the front page.

I voted for the article.
[...] Uppity some background details on Deepak from a link in Organizer’s Forum: Deepak Bhargava Executive Director Center for Community [...]
Rezko, Wright, Raines, Ayers … and now Acorn!!! This is over the top. Obama’s a fraud and should not be allowed anywhere near the White House.
Somehow the media still allows obama to come out smelling like a rose. Unfortunately…millions of people only hear what is said by the media as McCain’s negative campaigning..and it does not stick with the people. What a shameful time for this country.
