    McCain needs to hit Barky hard on the issue of taxes. I saw another poll that said overwhelming percentages of voters, both Democratic and Republican, don’t want tax increases. Under Obama’s plan, the top 1% will pay more than the bottom 80%. Those evil top-earners will be shelling out more than 60% of their income in taxes. And 44% will not only pay no taxes, but will be getting a check from the Feds.

    And that, my friends, is how Comrade Barky will be “spreading the wealth around.”

So if he had any discretionary expenses, he will look at those first. Then for the non discretionary, he will look if there are cheaper ways to get these goods or services.

    I don’t know if you remember the luxury tax, which was supposed to punish rich people who bought yachts. Well, they stopped buying them and the blue collar workers who made the boats lost work. Quietly, they let that tax expire.

    But the question is – why wouldn’t any tax change someone’s behavior, if for no other reason than there is less money to spend?

    Hannity’s radio show does this all the time. Sean has said he never got a job from a poor person. When he was a waiter, he got tips from people with money. When he was a contractor he did jobs for people with money. The same was true for his father.

    And this is what creeping socialism is. You tax the “rich” in order to bring up the “poor.” But the people who have money know how to keep it, so they invest it overseas or use schemes like barky and Teresa Kerry do to keep most of their money. Then the tax rolls get msaller. So, the taxes get higher on the rich. So, the rich purposely make less money to get under the bracket. The poor have no jobs and the government dolls out more. Eventually, you’re in England with perennial unemployment and diminishing private industry. Maybe they should have read Orwell.

    How is getting money from the government success if anything it blocks success it makes people apathetic to work when they can get something for nothing.

    If so, wouldn’t it be that “spreading the wealth around” is really called salary for employment for those “behind him”?

    No I think Obama means pretty much anybody who isn’t busting their asses working 16 hours a day like the plumber is–and taking his business risks. It’s kind of like, let’s YOU do the work and we get some of your pie.
