Colin Powell just loves the attention. That’s why he chose that late date. He started his “run” for president on the heels of his book release. Then he got angry that people would dare look into his wife’s medical history and angrily dropped out as if we were missing out on something. Ironically, he has no problem with the NYT viciously digging into CIndy McCain’s history that everyone knows about.

It’s getting very interesting in this race now. UW is right. The “conspiracy” realities are already out there. Now it’s time for the basics. Make people uncomfortable enough with Barfy about taxes and national defense. Then when people find just a whiff of his true evil, he won’t be able to close the deal among voters.

It looks like 90% of Barfy’s ads are attacks. Of course, since they say McCain is Bush, the media probably doesn’t call that an attack. In reality, that constant drumbeat is now becoming background noise and people are asking “So? What elese have you got?”

What if Colin Powell, former military Mr. Big, was brought on stage at this very late date in the Barky snake-oil show to signal that a coup is imminent? Otherwise, why Powell, and why was he not brought on stage sooner? What the hell is Barky going to announce during his infomercial extravaganza?
