First, let me just say that I have no respect for Rush Limbaugh. His “Operation Chaos” helped give us Barack Obama and for that alone, I wouldn’t spit on him if he were on fire. Of course, some of you will disagree with me, but I love you anyways.
That having been said, this video needs to be posted. I wish it didn’t have Rush’s Snidely Whiplash commentary in it, but it does. Let’s face it. He’s an egomaniac. But the important thing is the conversation between these two Newsweek bastards who work for a magazine that laughingly has the word “News” in its title.
Here we are, about to install a President no one really knows and now these two cheese balls start to speak up. They should both be flogged in the public square-right along with How does my hair look? Tom Brokaw, faux anchorman, who now is expressing his doubts. You can hear an audio of that traitor whose lips suddenly loosened here. Brace yourself. You will hear Mr. Pretty say what he should have said a long time ago. And after he said it, he should have actually acted like an actual newsman and delved into his own questions. After listening to him on that audio, you can only conclude that listening to Tom Brokaw deliver the news is equivalent to listening to a work of fiction you purchased to play while you drive to work.
A pox on all your houses, Brokaw, Meacham and Rose. And that’s almost too kind.
Just in case you couldn’t understand what these two creeps are saying, here’s a transcript:
MEACHAM: You know, they don’t let him out. And have you ever seen a victory speech where there was no one else on stage?
ROSE: Mmm.
MEACHAM: No adoring wife, no cute kid. He is the messenger.
THOMAS: There is a slightly creepy cult of personality about all this. I mean, he’s such an admirable –
ROSE: Slightly. Creepy. Cult of personality.
THOMAS: Yes.
ROSE: What’s slightly creepy about it?
THOMAS: It — it — it just makes me a little uneasy that he’s so singular. He’s clearly managing his own spectacle. He’s a deeply manipulative guy.
RUSH: Now, let me tell you what they’re saying that they’re not saying. We’ve seen this before. We have seen this creepy cult of personality. We have seen this singular, managing his own spectacle. We’ve seen this deeply manipulative guy. We saw this before. They are scared. They are not saying that, but I hear fear. Here’s the next bite. Charlie Rose continues here with a question.ROSE: Watching him last night in that speech, he finishes –
MEACHAM: Yeah.
ROSE: — and he sort of — it’s almost like he then ascends to look at the circumstance.
MEACHAM: He watches us watching him.
THOMAS: Watching him!
ROSE: Exactly!
THOMAS: He does –
MEACHAM: It’s amazing.
ROSE: It is amazing.
THOMAS: He writes about this metaphor being a screen upon which Americans will project. He said they want of Barack Obama; I’m not sure I am Barack Obama.
ROSE: Mmm!THOMAS: He had — he has the self-awareness to know that this creature he’s designed isn’t necessarily a real person, and he’s self-aware enough –
ROSE: Ahhhhhh!
RUSH: Ahhhh. Charlie Rose, light goes on, ahhhh. Self-aware enough to know that this creature he’s designed isn’t necessarily a real person.
That is fear. These guys are looking at Obama and they’ve seen him the exact way we have, all of this time. They only now after they think they got him into office are now starting to talk about their fears about how nobody knows anything about him, his resume is thin, he’s only written two books, and they’re autobiographies, we don’t know what other books he’s read. Yes, we do.
We don’t know anything about him. It’s creepy, never seen a victory speech with nobody on stage — what is this making fun of Biden, by the way?
Locking Biden in the bar so he doesn’t come out? Look at all they hid. Look at all that they refused to report.
They had plenty of chances to write editorials at Newsweek magazine, and they didn’t write one reflective of what they really saw and know and fear about Obama.

"This is not culture. This is not custom. This is criminal."
This is the outcome when every message was about how good it would feel to vote for him. I never heard much about how good of a president he’d be, much less what he would do as president. When you run, you’re a symbol. When you are elected, you’re just a man.
Koolaid finally wears off, P4P. Me thinks…the MSMs are starting to talk all across USA.
I remember hearing something a yr ago about some reporter being fired for calling Junior “creepy.” Not Newsweek, tho–maybe Time? Can’t remember. I subbed to Newsweek for 40 yrs–and just cancelled. I have poor vision due to botched eye surgeries and have to use a magnifying glass to read mags–and I can flip thru this rag in about 90 secs now..Obama,
love Obama, Obama did this, cover of Obama…
they are such whores for this guy! If they are afraid now and knew this–well circle of hell waiting, boys! And Jonathan Alter goes first..
Thanks UW.
Seems the ‘little too late’ club of journalists keeps on growing.

for the whole Rose-Brokaw ‘We don’t know Obama’ talk just a few days for the election. Most appaling is Brokaw ran one of the debates and could have just ASKED the questions he had, especially because they said ‘no candidate has influenced me & seen my questions before hand’. Mmm, hopes so makes a vid on that (I’m technically challenged)
Given that CNN guy (Anderson Cooper?) that talked about the failing press, Malone doing the same, only a few days before the election, we can really start to make a list of journalists who basically admit they’re frauds – got to give them that, they at least admit it.
Obama Bought The Presidency
Full blown Narcissist. That’s what he is. He is unstable mentally. They have given the beast the power, now what are they gonna do?
Brokaw has always been a lightweight. Years ago when the movie Broadcast News came out with a lead character that was basically a good-looking moron with an earpiece and an intelligent producer, Brokaw actually threatened to sue filmmaker Albert Brooks for basing the movie on him!
From Netherland’s link, speaking about not trusting what the media tells us blindly:
Well, Tom, thanks to geniuses like you, we’ve all been rolled.
Now they want us to believe that they are real journalists again. Not in this lifetime or the next will I believe anything that comes from these media whores.
[...] Obama a “Creepy,” “Deeply Manipulative,” “Creature”. Flopping Aces. No Quarter. Uppity Woman. The hits on this means everyone should take a long and careful look, at what the blindly [...]
Reader’s comment to The Economist (somehow doubt they’ll put it in their print version
:
“Thank you for bringing a wry smile to my face. Besides actions from Russia and Hezbollah, the Dow-Jones reacted with an almost 400-point drop when it was clear Barack Obama would become the next President. Not very surprising considering his ideology-based plans to increase taxes during an economic crisis, and the intellect of those that actually deal with stocks and investments. The ticket that spent the most money got the ticket, capitalism turns out to work no matter color or creed. Hardly historic, trade has been known since the dawn of Man. Obama basically bought the Presidency.
The sentence “Mr. Obama showed that, with the right message, a candidate with no money or machine behind him can build his own” in your opening article cracked me up especially, because he had from the start (to name a few) subsidized fraud-machine ACORN and affiliates, the Chicago-machine, the Oprah/Hollywood-machine and a whole slew of big-bucks donators like the Fannie Mae-Freddie Mac mortgage giants that caused most of this economic mess we’re in (only 25% at most turned out to be – untraceable and very possibly illegal as well – small donations) behind him. His message was a fluffy-bunny message of incessant pandering that has almost no basis in reality, as your magazine had repeatedly pointed out yet suddenly forgot in your endorsement.
Please do your paying readership a favor, and promise us not to whine when Obama and his tax & spend-happy Democratic majority aggravate the mess we’re in, we already know about that. Thank you for your time.”
Couldn’t have said it better myself
The bastards had a ‘world-election’ on their site but instead of only allowing their subscribers to participate, any Obot could pitch in, hence the world-chooses-Obama crap.

Ugh. Can’t even look at the article. Great comment, though!
These guys know the honeymoon won’t be long lived.
The feel good brainwashing will only be a temporary affliction for many who cast their votes for Obama.
America is hard on her Presidents. The media will change their tune so they can cash in on that.
Axe,
Any other year I’d agree with you, but something feels different this time through. I think these punks are gonna stick with Obama no matter what he does. Just a gut feeling…
The folks behind OB are the Chi-town machine and the Corps. who gave him tons of do’. The Chi-town machine controls everything in Chicago, media, govnt-local, state. I can’t imagine them passing up the possibility to replicate that on a national scale and the media are going to do what they are told to do, to say, to print.
Racism, color of skin…nah. Color green. Green backs. They have the chance to skim the the bank of a country with the largest GDP in the world. Told all the bigs and all the bigs gave OB wads of cash because they want in. This is certainly going to be historic.
True Grail, he owns the goonsquad, regardless.
But there’s a lot of basically moderate folks who for some reason or other (amnesia? temporary insanity? acid flashback? constipation?) decided to waste their vote on him. I’m hopeful many of those rats will jump ship.
Some will, but his core (those we lovingly call the Oborg) will not stray. I fear they will go away as willingly as the last Nazis did.
If I told you I wasn’t nervous as hell, I’d be lying.
I know we’re in for a rough ride even when seemingly normal folks wake up.
I’m just sort of banking on human nature American style. Gotta have hope!
As I said on another thread, just the size of the country alone is in our favor.
The goons will always be goons. Billy Ayers is testament to that. Well never be shot of them. Unfortunately now they have a leader which is scary.
But there’s also, I’m hoping, a group of Obama supporters who will lose active interest to their own self interest.
Also, the old adage about ‘biting the hand that feeds you’ comes to mind.
I agree Grail. Lotta land, lotta people to rope in.
By the way, I suggest you all go out and buy a copy of “Jericho,” the short-lived CBS series. It’s one of the best portraits of a fight for survival in small town America I’ve ever seen.
I heard good reviews on that. No wonder it was short-lived then.
Here’s a question I was considering today. Considering that Republican voter turnout was low, should McCain have made more use of Bush? Should he have run toward Bush’s record as opposed to away from it? It’s counter-intuitive, but it was one thing that a maverick campaign didn’t do.
Those “jornalists” are full of shit. If they’re so creeped out, why the hell aren’t they reporting on :Berg’s birth certiicate law suit? It’s only reached the Supreme Cour leve without a word in the MSM; the $60-million (double that, if you’re hip) in illegal campign contributions? O’s Civilian Defense Corps? O’s plan to let illegal aliens vote, which means negating the value of U.S. citizenship?
They lied before and they’re still lying. Once again we’re being played.
THERE HAS NOT BEEN A FREE PRESS INPAMERICA FOR CLOSE TO A YEAR. THERE IS NO MORE FREEP PRESS IN AMERICA NOW. THERE WILL NOT BE A FREE PRESS IN AMERICA FOR DECADES, IF EVER AGAIN . NOT EVEN RUSH OR HANNITY.
THR “FAIRNESS DOCTTINE” IS COMING.
UW: Please excuse all the upper case in my post. Is there another way to convey emphasis, such as bold face, available to us? Am I right in thinking NQ has such options?
Good article, but I have to add that the operation chaos thing that Rush had going actually encouraged republicans to vote for Hillary, which many did quite happily.Especially in light of the media treatment she got.It was unbelievable and almost surreal that the Democrat party would use the media to visciously savage one of their own.Intially I think the op chaos was to expose the party and the media for the ugly sexist/racist thing it had become. But I think she garned sympathy and even a little respect for her toughness from some of the choas voters though not all. After all its hard not to like a fighter and an underdog who everyone is telling to just quit.
Of course now we’ve seen the media savage Sarah as well, and its still ongoing.Supposedly from aides within the campaign.I’d love to know the names of these backstabbers so they could be run out of town.(they are probably elitists like the jerks in the media)
I never thought that the country was still so biased against women until this election year.
Its really a shame.
If this works you can bold text by using the bold tags.
You put symbols around the letter b before the text then do the same thing with /b inside the at the end of the bold text.
Ah, it turns out the symbols don’t show up in a message. The ones I’m talking about are the ones above the , key and the . key So, you’d use (b)bold text(/b) only with the symbols above the period and the comma on the keyboard instead of ().
P4P,
Wow, thanks ,
I couldn’t get it to work.
Uh, maybe “bold text“
I think you were close in the 11:07 message, but the bold text has to be inside the (b) and (/b) parts
One “opens” bold and the other “closes” it.
Italics is with an “i”
as in italics

UW
Thanks again. Boldly went for it on the Which Woman thread..
I can do it slantwise, too. Giggle
I guess you can teach an old Mary new tricks.
Interesting comments above. On Fox News Watch (I have watched for years, true confessions), the new bland-boring guy John Scott ended a segment on how flawless Junior’s campaign had been and how the press had bent over for the guy with–”Let’s hope the transition is just as flawless.” Uh–irony deprived much? Shaking head sadly…I don’t know, folks. I think that civilian forced community service or whatever it is will open some eyes…but who knows… I have heard several commentators say the MSM may lean over backwards to be critical–yeah. sure, bank on that. Day 15–Newsweek still dead to me.
Clinging,
All evidence points to the Mitt Romney camp for trashing Palin. Trying to eliminate the competition in 2012.
Expect to see the same happen to Bobby Jindal soon.
Romney’s people–yes, I heard that, too.
