Eg in the nineties my then-criminology professor (a Liberal Democrat) met a very icy response from his staff – both at the university and the government research center he headed – when he noticed crime-rates were steadily going up among certain ethnic minorities, and wanted to find out why. Because it wasn’t ‘politicaly correct’ he had to rely on students to do his research.

Yesterday, the provost at the university where I work sent around a school-wide e-mail from one of the deans cautioning all of us about – you guessed it –RACISM. In her e-mail, this dean proclaimed this a time of “great pride for many Americans” and a time of “hope for this country.” (I wonder who she voted for.) This was apparently prompted because of two incidents of alleged racist comments made on campus the presidential campaign. She never said what those comments were, so I have no way of judging if they were racist. Furthermore, we were all reminded that racism won’t be tolerated at our campus and could result in expulsion. AND there will be a meeting on the evils of racism conducted by our diversity department. It’s nice to know that the thought police are alive and well and eager to eliminate any opposition to The One.

In Jonesboro (a college town) someone at an apartment complex called the police to report an unruly crowd ostensibly celebrating Obama’s “win”. When an off-duty officer who worked security at the complex showed up to get them to pipe down, the crowd jumped him. Needless to say, police from all parts of the area then showed up and arrested some of the young idiots, who said the mean old police tasered them and sicced police dogs on them. Who actually got hurt? Several officers with the most seriously injured a female police officer who got punched in the face (broken nose) and suffered cuts and bruises on her arms and legs.
I am so not looking forward to history repeating itself with Obama and his band of merry brownshirts.

My take on this video is that Obots were acting as expected, and the people who made it had an agenda in mind. Wearing a McCain/Palin shirt and walking into that crowd was designed to get a reaction. The officers were trying to prevent violence by by removing the daft young man from the crowd. Because it made for good youtube, he resisted doing what they asked. Tensions had to be high and Philly cops had to be among those on riot-alert this last week. In this instance I call set up for the sake of many hits on a you tube account.

Truly a frightening video. I just don’t know what to say. I guess I need to gather my thoughts for a minute.
The man in the McCain t-shirt was very foolish to have gone out in that crowd wearing that shirt. It was a very unsafe move on his part. He didn’t deserve to be arrested – even though while watching it happen I admit feeling that he might be safer being arrested than being left in the crowd to be beaten to death. However, you have to wonder who would be more vindictive/violent – the crowd or the police?
By the time the video was over, I was nearly in tears, and I am that way again just typing this. I guess I just have to say it out loud – I am very afraid. Afraid for those of us who didn’t vote for this “man”.

Hell, the arrest of the mccain guy was the tamest part of this video. I was freaked long before they got to that part. They didn’t need to set anything up. Just filming these zombies was enough.
