When I heard it – I knew it was false. I think we all did – but what wasn’t surprising ito me was finding out that cable and/or network news didn’t “investigate” it. For me it was like – duh!
The AP, Reuters, and others report a story, then the networks pick it up and run with it in a crazy dance to be the first one to cha cha with the public. Investigative reporting is dead. We have all focused on the “bias” of the media – but I worry that it’s worse than just bias – that’s been around for quite awhile. Competition usually helped the real story emerge overtime. Now – they are ALL just plain LAZY (a liberal ideal for sure) – I think that is a much bigger threat to our democracy. Pure, unadulterated, incompetence and laziness….

I was listening to talk radio the other day, and I THINK it was Glenn Beck (maybe Limbaugh?) who announced that Roger Ayles, vis Rupert Murdoch, had sent the directive to the Fox “Big Three” (O’Reilly, Hannity and VanSusteran) that they were to lay off the Black Prince – presumably from fear of the fairness doctrine being resurrected.
The thing that Ayles & Co. don’t seem to get is that Obama and Friends Pelosi and Reid could give a damn. Remember what Obama Campaign did to John Lewis? Even after he “recanted” his support for the better candidate in hopes of not having his Congressional Seat challenged in Georgia, Obamathugs still ran against him, proclaiming he didn’t back Obama “soon enough.”
With this in mind, The Big Three at FOXNews need to just damn the torpedoes.
