ROFL! I don’t know why that’s so funny, but it cracks me up.
I have a toy poodle that will just sit there and let you pull him around. You try to get him off a pillow and he just sticks while you shake it and try to slide him off.
Hi all – just wanted to stop in and day the Merchandise WILL come. I have managed to get a REAL HOME OF MY OWN (kinda) and I ahve been moving and painting for days! Also, sitting with a friend next door who had wrist surgery adn cannot open her own wine bottles without help!
I’ll be “back on the job VERY soon and look forward to making more commentary on the politics of today.
As always, thanks for all your support – and UW – I MISS YOU!
I’ve not even been on the computer at all for days – but am creating an entire media room where no one in Barky’s World will be safe from the joys of Photoshop and a very twisted sense of humor and irony.
And sorry about the typos – my little fingertips are SO SORE! Been fauxing a pool deck too (gotta keep working) and the concrete has torn up my hands BAD!
Painting an two-level open floor plan 1957 Florida Lego Factory Extruded block home to look like a loft, but I have a beautiful back yard and a small water view – all (most) my furniture is eames or Eero Saarinen and it is looking great. Just wish I could yank the carpet and have the terrazzo redone – but hey – FOR NOW it’s a rental – BUT IT’S MINE!
FF,
Before life laid me low, I used to love faux finishng and other decoraive painting. I have never had artistic ability (hated coloring books, never finger-painted), but decorative finishing I could do and make it look like something.
UW-MK Bill with a second job? ROFLOL. His second job is creating or getting into trouble. He has a mood nose. If it’s white he’s in good kitty mode, if it’s pink he’s looking for trouble. The pinker it is, the crazier he will be.
That vid is hilarious. I didn’t get here all night, I was distracted after my sis told me my Mother is in the hospital after an irregular heartbeat (arterial fibrillation she called it). Now I’m waiting for her to call me and tell me what is going on. She didn’t call me til the evening, and she’s my only source of info.
Star-she’s 2000 miles away, and I forget which drug my sis said they gave her. I do know it converted her to a normal rhythm right away and she is there for observation. She just had a minor surgery on Tuesday, went home on Wed morning. Anyways, thanks and I will write down that medication.
Thanks Star. My sister is a nurse but you have eased my mind more than she did. Since urgent care called an ambulance it sounded pretty scary. She just had surgery Tuesday, (nothing major) and has a few other problems (73yo), and my sister isn’t the most dependable info source-but all I have. Thanks very much.
Atrial fibrilation is an irregular heartbeat in the upper chambers of the heart. The most dangerous side effect is that it can lead to a stroke.
Be sure your family members are all familiar with the signs of stroke, and be sure they all know that if they even suspect one, time is of the essence to get her to the hospital (if it’s caught within the first hour there is a shot that can be given to minimize the damage).
It can usually be controlled with medication, and is generally only a threat if you are not aware of it. Be proactive in her care; ask questions, get multiple opinions, and don’t let it slide if the docs say something that doesn’t sound right. If they can explain it to your satisfaction, fine, but don’t accept that they know more than you do so they’re better equipped to make the right choices. Learn what you need to know and don’t be afraid to speak up! Her generation is not good at pushing back at doctors, so you may need to be her voice. You’ll never regret asking a question, but you may always regret remaining silent.
Warm thoughts and lots of prayers are coming at your from the blogosphere!
Not my cat, Uppity. But I assumed you’d seen the video first at my place. Then I realized I may have been wrong to presume. I think a lot of folks are spreading that video around. (Or at least they ought to be.)
Those hard swivels look super-fun.
In any case, thanks for the hat-tip. (If, indeed, I earned it.)
Yeah Undercover, its’ all over the net. I thought you were telling me that was your cat and I was thnking damned! I can’t get my cat to do that shit. Well maybe if I put a piece of raw salmon on it….
Anyways, I’m very conscious of original authors, been burned a few times myself. Eh, hope I sent you some traffic!
I’m not sure those Roombas are a good idea with pets though. Heard a story about somebody who left the thing running and the dog had a bit of a sloppy accident—repeatedly. And of course the Roomba kept dragging itself over things and it got kind of….well…you know. Digusting.

Maybe operating a Roomba would be a good second job for Moderator Kitteh Bill.
Hahahaha!!! Thanks for the chuckle!!
ROTFL. OMG that’s awesome. i love my Roomba but my cat’s not so sure about it.
C’mon baby shake your body do that roomba…..
UW: You mean the Roomba Driver isn’t Kitteh Bill? I could have sworn….
UW: had a cousin who did mean, bulying, sneaky things like that penguin. I want a recount of the penguin vote.
“Totally Off-Topic, but Hey, it’s my blog. I can do that.”
You betcha!
OMG! It looks just like my Kitteh Tippy!

More soon! Must go moisturize….
FF: Joy in the new digs!
Mary – thanks so much!

YAY!
Cool! Did the cat get dizzy?

FF,
Recover quickly – we need you! And congrats on the new digs – sounds divoon!
Uppity,
Are you sure that’s not Bill on the Roomba? It sure looks like him… Have you checked his Moderator’s Station lately?

Hey! That laughing dog! I hope that doesn’t mean you’re gonna start letting in trolls here in Uppity’s Great Room. Or is that Ed Rendell?
I love this video! Thanks!
A hat-tip would’ve been nice, Uppity.
:^)
Gotcha dude. How’d you get that cat to do that? My cat ony tries to sit on my head, usually when I’m sleeping.
FF-congrats on your new home!

I have atrial fib all the time–if they try to give her amiodarone, question it.

Glad your Mom is better. Sometimes they crank atrial fib into a big deal–there is a lot to it…and yet it is not considered life-threatening…

Indy,
My prayers for your mom!

Indy, I’m sorry I didn’t see your posts about your Mom. How’s she doing?
