    Despite what the media likes to trumpet, we had low turnout this election. Taking out the fraud and the people who only voted for barfy and nothing downticket, it was a sad turnout. The reason was a relentless campaign of demorlization through negative advertising and inevitability being preached by the media.

    The passive agressive tries to force you into making the move by making a fight with them more painful than just giving up. There were a lot of potential McCain/Palin voters out there who didn’t want to be considered racists, Bush lovers, war mongers, or CEO lackeys by voting the Republicans ticket.

    And let’s not forget the people who did sit out this election. I know the feeling. I think a lot of them were passive agressive as well. They decided that fighting for a Republican party that sold out it’s 1994 principles wasn’t worth it. Better the GOP be out of power for 4 years and the Democrats send the country to hell then have to defend the bad things that happen at any time in history.

    I still have a lot of respect for Rush Limbaugh. He and the book 1984 were some of my strongest influences to my political ideology. And it’s pretty damn scary how history is following that book, with Bush = farmer and Obama = pig.

    MSNBC is pulling out their Alinsky handbook to discredit Rush. Olbermann refers to him as a “comedian,” which I guess is an insult unles you’re Al Franken. Tweety claims that Rush’s 25 million audience is traveling salesmen. What century is he living in? What traveling salesmen are around now? Hardball is lucky to pull 3% of that.

    From what I’ve seen, the only way for socialism to fail now is for people to get angry. For that, you need people to open their damn eyes. I honestly don’t know if that will happen in time.
