Quipster: President Stalls AIG Response While Pondering The Problem

Quipster posted this yesterday and I think it is very worthy of a cross-post, considering our President often enjoys riding that fence post. Thinking on his feet is definitely not one of his strong suits. Here’s hoping nobody lobs a missle our way or blows up a couple of thousand people while the President needs a few days to consult academics and think about it all — while our Homeland Security leader decides to call the incident a “Human caused disaster”.

President Stalls AIG Response While Pondering The Problem

March 25, 2009 ·

It is always fascinating to watch people who feign a supreme sense of knowledge and confidence, when in reality there is nothing more than hollow and inexperienced posturing.

Obama defends delay in response to AIG bonuses.

Critics questioned why the president seemed days behind the populist anger over the $165 million that were distributed at the company bailed out with federal tax dollars.

Said Obama: “It took us a couple of days because I like to know what I’m talking about before I speak.”

What a phenomenal answer!  The President of the United States has to think about how to respond during a time of national strife.  Hmmm.  Imagine if  this guy was the emergency room doctor coming to save your life, would you want him to actually stop and think for a couple of days about how to respond, or would you want him to save your life on the spot?

The question was posed by Ed Henry of CNN.  Bill Bennett, a CNN contributor and talk radio show host added,

“After Ed Henry, he looked like he wanted to go home,” conservative talk radio host and CNN Contributor Bill Bennett said.

Since Obama is sorely lacking in the experience category, he would do well to take his on-the-job training and learn how to respond and act accordingly in times of need.  Meandering connotes uncertainty.  A poor reflection for the leader of the free world.

The time to have done homework is long gone.  The time to act is now.
