What on earth could Bernie Sanders, Ron Paul and Jim DeMint have in common?

image01313I mean, let’s face it, that’s a loaded question. We have a professed Socialist, a Libertarian and a Conservative Republican.

Strange bedfellows, indeed, right?

What on earth are they doing together?

You have to ask yourself:  How serious does an issue have to be for these three guys to completely agree on something. The answer of course is: VERY serious.

What smarmy,  dangerous cloak and dagger organization could possibly bring these guys together?

Why, The Federal Reserve. Of course.

For all their differences in politics, these three men recognize exactly what a red flag the Fed is. They move trillions of dollars that we print and we borrow and they answer to nobody. And I do mean nobody.  They can make or break the economy of the USA, and there are more than a few people who strongly believe they have already broken it.

And guess what else? Nobody can audit the Federal Reserve. I mean nobody. That’s correct. Nobody. They do not have to answer questions and they are not accountable to anyone, not even the people whose money they move around.

(photo of  Two economy-controlling creatures nobody elected)

bernanke_hmed_3pIn fact, the Big Shots at the Fed can euphemistically tell  the House and Senate to collectively crap in their hats and put them back on their heads. In fact, that’s exactly what Ben Bernanke did (Do you ever remember voting for Ben Bernanke)?

Sanders,at a Senate Budget Committee hearing on March 3, asked Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke to name the hundreds of banks that took money since the financial crisis began. Bernanke refused to name any of the financial institutions…

Sanders and Paul are co-sponsoring Ron Paul’s  bill, HR 1207, The Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009, a law that will force the smarmy, covert Federal Reserve to succumb to an audit without the ability to say No to anything.  In fact , HR 1207 now has 237 Co-Sponsors. The matching Senate bill S 604  is sponsored by Jim DeMint.

Terrific, right? I mean this bill will put to rest forever the cloak and dagger organization that thumbs its nose at the American people while controlling all the money and helping to manipluate world markets.

This is great, right?

Not exactly. There’s one little problem, named Barney Frank. You mean the Barney Frank who covered up the Fannie Mae disaster until it collapsed?  Yup. That Barney Frank. He’s the Chair of the House Financial Services Committee, of  all things.

HR 1207 is now sitting stagnant in the House Financial Services Committee–in fact it’s been sitting there since February 2009. If this bill is not released by this Committee, it cannot come to a vote. Therefore it is time to let the people on this committee know that you expect the House to vote on this bill. While you are doing that, you should ask them if they think this is a bad idea …….and why.  And if they don’t think it’s a bad idea, well then who’s what’s the holdup?

Here are their names of the House Members of Committee on Financial Services. Send your love:

  1. When in doubt, don’t: Woodrow Wilson, who signed the Federal Reserve into existence, did so reluctantly and regretted it immediately.

The rest of us have been regretting it ever since. Transparency is insufficient to correct the evils of the Federal Reserve. It needs to be abolished.

  2. UW,

My Congressperson, Kevin McCarthy (R), is a cosponsor.

On the other hand my senators are Barbara “Call Me Senator” Boxer and Dianne Feinstein. No point in wasting the stamps.

  3. O/T and back to Iran for a minute:

EXCLUSIVE: U.S. contacted Iran’s ayatollah before election
    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/jun/24/us-contacted-irans-ayatollah-before-election/?feat=home_cube_position1&

If this is true, it is no wonder that Zer0 is so timid. It is interesting that he allegedly contacted the Supreme Leader, when other past POTUS’s have contacted the President of Iran. Guess he kinows the Chain-of-Command better than most. But then, he would, wouldn’t he?

Also, RBO has a great video up from Batchelor of Michigan Congressman Cotter speaking in the (empty?) House

    http://therealbarackobama.wordpress.com/2009/06/24/batchelor-11th-michigan-tribute-to-neda-a-citty-upon-a-hill/

  4. On topic: It is heartening to see that legislators are teaming up to take on the fed. Barny Frank would GO TO JAIL is all his inside dealings were made public. Mr. Frank has only his own interest and pockets in the mix, as well as the destruction of this nation. I can only imagine the High Crimes that man has in his history. I also heard that No-Free-Speaker Pelosi will not let this out either. Those who stand in the way of this legislation should be asked WHY.

And my Senator, Bill Nelson of Florida no longer answers my mail to him at all. Martinez does, but he’s leaving. The arrogance of our elected leaders is stunning.

That my senator will not reply to my inquiries on his positions is very telling on the way this country is being run.

We now have a King and a Court.

    Shameful.

  5. Here’s a video from Ron Paul’s website of him explaining the bill:

  6. great find, imust.

  7. I said keep your eyes on her. She is putting a lot of them under fire.

  8. She needs to mind her own business and stop attacking gays. Spent too much time at Oral Roberts University for my comfort zone.

She did introduce a bill to reverse forced CFL light bulbs in 2012 though. I do hope everyone understands that unless somebody does something, you will not be able to find an incandescent bulb after 2012 and will be forced to live under curly yellow lights that make it nearly impossible for you to read much less see. Wonderful idea for migraine sufferers and epileptics too. Not to mention you need government hazmat instructions to clean up after a broken one, unless you don’t mind mercury. Oh and I hope most Americans won’t mind that they won’t fit in many of their existing fixtures, although you be be certain Al Gore won’t be putting CFLs in his crystal chandeliers.

  9. Saw a program on the Federal Reserve that was interesting. It stated the Federal Reserve was brought into power as a PRIVATE BANK to print our money instead of the US Govt by a Senate Quorum Voice vote of THREE SENATORS on the evening of December 23rd 1913 after the rest of the Senate went home for Christmas!

  10. Gay rights and abortion need to be dropped by both sides imo.
I am sorry but for me I am sick of these two issues taking top priority as we are falling deeper into a sink hole and our country is being destroyed. These things to me are minor things that need to stop taking top priority.
That is why Obama got in the White house and no one supporting him ever questioned what he planned on doing outside these issues. Many of them that did support him are waking up and feeling the pain of having the wool pulled over their eyes.
As for her stand on gays issues I really do not care we all have a stand unpopular to others and as I said it needs to be put on the back burner.
Let’s work on the economy and our freedom being stripped away right and left or all other issues will not matter anyway.
