  1. LOL! Good one FreedomFairy! Did you see what Michelle was wearing to the visit? Good grief.

I snagged this joke off the internet. Gave me a chuckle:

Al Gore, Bill Clinton and Barrack Obama go to heaven,
God addresses Al first. ”Al, what do you believe in?”
Al replies: “Well, I believe that I won that election, but that it was your
will that I did not serve. And I’ve come to understand that now.”
God thinks for a second and says: “Very good. Come and sit at my left.”
God then addresses Bill. “Bill, what do you believe in?”
Bill replies: “I believe in forgiveness. I’ve sinned, but I’ve never held a
grudge against my fellow man, and I hope no grudges are held against me.”
God thinks for a second and says: “You are forgiven, my son. Come and sit at
    my right.”
Then God addresses Barrack. “Barrack, what do you believe in?”
He replies: “I believe you’re in my chair.”

  2. ROF I love that one.

  3. Great joke and what a cover F.F.!!!! You are too talented!

  4. This really has gotten out of hand. The sad part is the sub-heads on the cover are things journalists and politicians have actually said, and Obama NEVER plays it sown.

See RBO’s post today on his visit to Ghana. YouTube disabled but the link is there…

    amazing

  5. Funny That…..

  6. Thanks all…

It is so fitting for him. And now that Al Gore says we are one step closer to “World Governance” my bet is Obama will be nominated….

  7. Wow, keep up the good work, Freedom Fairy! And perhaps someday you have a future with the Associated Press:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/barackobama/4571678/Barack-Obama-warns-economic-stimulus-delay-would-bring-disaster.html

  8. Haw! Thanks FF and yttk for getting my “workend” off to a merry start.

If I may throw something smelly into the holy-water font… have you heard that Barack’s flock is working on a demonization campaign against CT firefighter Ricci, like the one they pulled on Joe the Plumber?

    http://www.kansascity.com/444/v-print/story/1317476.html

I hope working-class voters are paying attention to what “their” party thinks of them.

  9. Good cover FF, sad to say if Evan Thomas sees your work I’m certain he’ll steal it for next weeks cover. Newsweek really has no pretense of journalism anymore. The Obama worship is beyond sickening, but I think some of the public at large is starting to awaken from their koolaid stupor based on opinion polls. I think the bulk of the MSM will continue to worship at his feet for at least another year or so, maybe forever.

    Yttk great joke! LMAO!

  10. finely –

    same drum, different drummer

“President Bush urged Congress on Friday to quickly pass an economic stimulus package void of extraneous spending, saying only quick action will kickstart the sputtering economy. “I strongly believe it would be a mistake to delay or derail this bill,” Bush said.”
    http://www.abc3340.com/news/stories/0108/490931.html

Obama IS The Third Bush Term

and Obots are so friggin’ stupid

  11. FF you’re so right and it just astonishes me how utterly stupid the obots are. Obama personifies Bush in so many ways, yet in other ways at least to me he’s far more dangerous than Bush. He’s continued so much of Bush’s constitution burning and he’s taken it to new levels, yet a significant number of people think he’s just fantastic. Bush had his fan club but Obama’s seems to be larger and a lot nastier as if I ever thought that was possible…who knew right?

  12. “Obama IS The Third Bush Term.”

Amen! And it’s not just the Obots who are “stupid” (not meaning to be mean by that) – we’ve all been played (and are being played presently, I’m afraid, by Congress at the hands of the power brokers), regardless of whether our eyes are partially opened to Obama now or not.

After Cap and Trade, I wrote my Congressman (Moran) saying he has lost my vote regardless, permanently (I’m sure his pockets were lined so he doesn’t care, proverbially speaking of course). Thankfully, my senator (Webb) wrote to say he has problems with the bill.. looks like it’s dead, …unless there’s further pocket lining in the works. (Sigh.)

  13. I really don’t think hes that popular with the people, its the MSM that keeps propping him up. How many of you get polled? In my 62 years I have never been polled. So who are they polling?

  14. “WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama said on Saturday more time was needed for his $787 billion (485 billion pound) stimulus package to work, predicting the spending would have a bigger impact on the economy later this year.”

    remember this?

“Prosperity is just around the corner”

Said by Hoover. And Another President Bush comparison.

  15. More money we don’t have! This is ludicrous!

  16. Love the cover FF, “May I be with you. And also with you. So help me, me” ROFL!!

Obama is the Pope, well it explains Michelle’s nun/funeral outfit. Has there been any reaction from the Catholic community on Kathleen Kennedy’s article? I’d expect to see some white smoke coming out, but not from the Vatican chimney.

I see the penguins are still up to their tricks. Could the fake penguin have been Little MK Willie trying to help Bill? The other penguin smacked him down and he does have a broken leg down in the lower sidebar.

  17. Will is MKB’s son up in the right sidebar. The kitten on the left sidebar is his littermate “Me Too”. Indy really needs to get Bill neutered very soon. He gets on a niperoni binge and makes kittehs left and right.

  18. Yttik,

That wasn’t a joke posted on the internet, it was an AP report.

  19. I was just reading something about Obama and “Transparency.” This reminded me that the last thing I remember thinking about before I fell asleep last night was that “Transparent” Secret 4th of July Party of his. You know, the one that the Obama Press Corp attended under an oath of secrecy.

    http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tim-graham/2009/07/09/top-press-secretly-parties-obama-fourth-july

Thinking back to that weekend almost all news was about Michael Jackson and Sarah Palin. At the time, I figured Obama was missing because of those two topics, but the real reason was probably because the MSM was busy sucking up to him at a BBQ that we are probably paying for!

  20. Oh, thanks for the kitteh klarification Uppity. I wonder if we all don’t have our eyes off the ball watching the penguins…..nobody ever questions Muttley the laughing dog in the right sidebar. He was a sidekick of Dick Dastardly after all.

  21. What’s wrong with the phrasing of this sentence?

“(CNN) — They were the two most famous African-Americans in the world: President Barack Obama and Michael Jackson.”

  22. Shopping for Candidates. I’m thinking about 2010. I have a wishlist. My wishlist is that the following people get the boot: Wexler, Kline, Wasserman-Shultz, Hastings and Meek. (All the people in the districts that surround me).

I am supporting Republican Allen West over Dem Ron Kline. That is the only sure thing so far. Looking at Wexler’s opponents, I am leaning towards Dem Jose Ruiz. I am kind of liking what I see on his website.

    http://www.joseruizforcongress.com/

Can another Dem get the nomination away from Wexler??? (I sure hope so). There are some republicans going against him but I think they are too weak and he’s beat them before. And their websites don’t really having anything that grabs me.

The bummer about all of this is I can’t vote against any of the ones that really annoy me. Meeks is my rep and the only thing I really don’t like about him an Obama boy and he never responds to any e-mail I send him.

  23. “(CNN) — They were the two most famous African-Americans in the world: President Barack Obama and Michael Jackson.”

“They were” – ha ha, Obama in the past tense!

  24. I was just looking at CNN since FF brought it up (I usually ignore it). I can’t believe that top headlines include a story about a squirrel with a cup on its head!!!
    http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2009/07/11/wyff.squirrel.head.stuck.cnn

  25. This is why I hate CNN:

“After enormous successes early, some of President Obama’s political vulnerabilities have started to emerge…”

That is their way of saying he is slipping in the polls. I beg to differ with him in regard to “enormous successes early” – propaganda as usual.

  26. I can’t look at CNN, but all I want to know is..was the squirrel with a cup on his head Joe Biden on a binge??

  28. Hey cats, what county do you live in?

  29. More Cash and Trade Lightbulb Crap

“So, last week, Mr. Obama’s Energy Department closed the loophole by issuing new efficiency regulations targeted at these bulbs that will take effect in 2012.

In a June 29 speech, Mr. Obama described the move as part of an energy-efficiency initiative that “will create jobs in the short run and save money and reduce dangerous emissions in the long run.”

After reading Mr. Obama’s speech, I drove over to the local big-box hardware store and studied the products in the light-bulb aisle. The store stocked exactly one brand of compact fluorescent bulb for conventional light fixtures. The 75-watt version cost $3.47 per bulb — compared to .22 cents for a 75-watt incandescent bulb.

On the back of the fluorescent-bulb package — just below a warning about the mercury content — the following words were inscribed: “Made in China.”

  30. They tell you those bulbs last something like 5000 hours and that’s BS too. And how can anyone read by that putrid yellow light? Why don’t these A Holes just tell us to go back to candles and kerosine lights? And what about migraine sufferers. It’s common knowledge flourescent bulbs are triggers. There are also people who get sick from low levels of mercury, imagine their whole house lit that way. How about all the fixtures that won’t take these revolting bulbs that aren’t even perfected? What about when the entire country is forced to us them, how will all of that mercury be disposed of? Don’t we already have enough mercury killing us in our fishing rivers? This is just plain nonsense and somebody is set to make billions off of these bulb laws. You would be shocked at how many incandescent bulbs I have already stocked up on. Every single time I go shopping, I buy some.

  31. FF, fantastic cover! I’m going to start stocking incandescents. I really hate buying stuff from China. All of the stainless steel I’ve bought from China in the last 10 years rusts & pits in the dishwasher. What the hell are they putting in it? I need a new set of flatware & have been shopping around for some, but they were all made in China (Neiman Marcus even & Pottery Barn!). I ended up buying a discontinued set on eBay that I know is made in USA. This crap & no-trade bill is probably appeasement to the Chinese so they won’t call in their loans or something.

    yttik – ROLF!

  32. FF~

    O.M.G !! This cover is AWESOME !

    and the joke, yttik, LOL!

What did Me-chelle wear this time? I’ve really missed a lot, I guess.
I only turned on my home computer now to check on email.
I completely missed the Rome thing. (So glad FF didn’t)
I’ve been out of circulation since returning to work on Thursday.

I’m running out to the store in a few minutes (to get more light bulbs.)

  33. Okay, Michael Jackson is buried (we think) but…..he’s baaaaccckkk!!
Ghost of MJ on Larry King Live (or Larry King NOT alive)

  34. okay, I just scroogled “Obama in Rome”
the very first link was to HuffPoop where they refer to Me-cheel as “resplendent” and identified every designer of every inch of her royal self’s clothing.
Jeebus, I haven’t had new clothes in a while, and the closest I come to designer stuff is when I buy Mizrahi or whoever it is that “designs” for Target.
Aren’t we in the midst of an economic recession? (Well I personally am in a depression, but I realize that it has much to do with the thing in the Oval office as it has with $$)

(and my personal thoughts on her wardrobe are less nun-like and more Darth Vader)

Uppity, you’ve never heard of Prohibition? You’ll give “moonshine” a new meaning. :-)

  38. i,m stocking up on light bulbs too.

  39. I’m kind of the opposite. I’ve been using CFL bulbs since 2005. I bought them because they save money in the long run and I’m fine with the light.

    but…

They are not rated for outside use. You can’t use them outside. What exactly are we supposed to use for a porch light? My garage gets cold enough where a CFL bulb won’t light in the winter. Do I leave it on for 5 months? Because theat will blow away any energy savings. And if you have dimmers, forget it.

This is about freedom. In 5 years, we may all be going to Mexico for reasonabe health care and usable lightbulbs.

  40. Sarah Palin had another ehtics charge filed against her. And she resigned. THIS is why she’s leaving.

  41. FF,

Brilliant, from the staff, to the shit-eating expressions on the faces of the adoring, to the creature behind the throne.

I trust you did include 0’s horns underneath the miter.

  42. yttik,

    ROFL

  43. UW,

    Poor little Me Too.

  44. yttik- I love that joke! I’ll have to do a very un-Christian thing and steal it from you one day. Of course, I will be sure to mention I heard it from you….so that’s not quite stealing, right?

leslie- okay, I just scroogled “Obama in Rome”
the very first link was to HuffPoop where they refer to Me-cheel as “resplendent” and identified every designer of every inch of her royal self’s clothing.

Didn’t you know? Recessions are for suckers…the Obama’s are in an economic upswing…thanks to those of us who pay the taxes. :-(

  45. Robespierre!

  46. imustprotest- Cool video!!! I wish the door would have suddenly slammed shut. :-)

I love ghost stuff, wish I could see one myself.

  47. Barfy on health care funding.

“People would like, uh, the good stuff without paying for it.”

    Yep, greatest orator ever.

  48. Cap and Trade is a Goldman Sack of Shi*t bubble game. It has nothing to do with anything good on this planet. All of these people involved in this, including the fraud Obama, are nothing but 2 bit hustlers and grifters shaking down the entire globe.

Make sure to read Matt Taibbi’s article “The Great American Bubble Machine” . This is not about light bulbs, that’s just a subterfuge to distract us from what this really is.

FF – You are a genius! Thank you Uppity for having this sanctuary from all the madness….these bastards will not get away with this…..

  49. Sorry, but I hate Matt Taibbi. He’s a professional complainer like Huffington. He just happens to be right this time.

  50. Deadenders – I live in Broward.

UW – you are right – those bulbs do not last as long as stated. Of course many have a warranty – like anyone save the barcode and receipt!!!

  51. cats we lived in Broward for almost 20 yrs before we move to Jupiter.

  52. has anyone here tried electronic cigarettes? I am pissed. Florida slapped a “surcharge” on cigs (not a “tax” – a “surcharge”) on top on the tax Obama already imposed. And, now Indian Reservations have to charge sales tax to anyone who is not an Indian living on the reservation!!!! And they (government) even set up a snitch site so you can turn people in for not paying the tax and surcharge.

I like smoking but do not want my money going to these government hypocritical crooks, so I am considering switching to electronic cigs – (you can even smoke these with or without nicotine).

Of course, now I read the FDA may ban these. Why? Probably because the gov is losing tax and surcharge money because people are switching to them. How appalling.

Better get one soon. Anyone with experience/recommendations?

  53. I am no fan of either Obama or Michelle. And for th emost part I think her fashion sense is pathetic. And enough with the bare arms already!!!! But what she wore to the audience with the Pope is proper attire for such a meeting. Not fashinable, but proper. From Roman Guide.com the following description of what to wear at a papal audience:

” Women wear dark-colored dresses, with unrevealing necklines and long sleeves, and cover their heads.”

  54. FF Upp hi, Upp you knew all along I just diagnosed?
    gen-obot

    go look
    hugs and I love you!

  55. Cats I know someone that used the e-cigs to quit smoking after trying just about every other thing imaginable. (He and I always swap stories about trying to quit, except he actually did this time) Anyway he says they taste like cigarettes and it feels like one in your hand and on your lips. He dialed down the nicotine slowly until he was on the non-nicotine cartridge. Then his quitting was no longer a physical thing and he said it was much easier to wean himself that way. He says he bought a box of the non-nicotine cartridges and if he feels stressed or just wants a smoke he fires the e-cig up without nicotine. He says he does that probably three times a month.

I asked my doctor about these, he wouldn’t give me a recommendation for or against them because he said he has no idea what, if any, chemicals are in the vapor. He then told me that he seriously doubted that they were any worse than cigarettes so if I thought it would help wean me off cigarettes then to go for it.

The new tax and surcharge in Florida sucks, lucky for me I live on the Georgia border so I can hop state lines. Cigarettes have always been cheaper in Georgia anyway because they grow tobacco and don’t want to tax cigarettes too much. Do you by chance know anyone in the military?? If you do see if they will get you some on base, cheaper still.

If you try the e-cig please let me know what you think of it.

  56. Hi Somebody,

I still have a way to get tax free cigs (cruise ships) but I am kind of intrigued with the idea of smoking the flavored vapors. They have some really tasty sounding stuff. And the idea of smoking nicotine free vapor is even more appealing. I’m in it for the hand/mouth action more than anything. It helps me contemplate as I go outside light up and meditate a bit and I wouldn’t want to quit doing that. Smoking is a good excuse to get away from the computer at work when I am stuck in the office :-) Staring at that thing strains my eyes.

  57. Plus, smoking makes you look cool.

The Indian reservations around here have so far been able to use liberal guilt to keep taxes at bay. People drive 1/2 hour or more (carbon emissions, anyone?) to buy a few cartons. So, now the convenience stores around here are screwed.

  58. I cover my head for no man.

  59. Smoking is like too expensive for normal people now, isn’t it? Something like $8.50 a pack in NY State?

  60. I know some smokers who have one of those machines that make cigarettes and they buy the tobacco by the pound along with cigarette tubes that have filters attached to them. Apparently this is way cheaper and has fewer chemicals in the tobacco. Or something.

  61. Crap on a cracker surfergrrl. They can track every move our barry hating asses make.

  62. Hell they probably chipped all that new paper money they dumped into the system out of the clear blue sky. I mean with all the debt problems we have, why is printing all new money so important?

  63. UW,

I had a roommate in college who used rolling paper and pipe tobacco to make cigarettes. He put down “no preference” in the smoking part of the housing form. I had to lay down the law 2-3 times before he got another room second semester.

  64. There’s a story about how a pilot may have saved Barfy when a campaign plane went into trouble last year. How many media people would wish for death had it been Bush?

  65. Axelrod Loses Control

  66. One to read: http://news.yahoo.com/s/mcclatchy/20090711/sc_mcclatchy/3269899

Once again, we are about to fall off a cliff is there is ANY discussion about the merits of the Cash and trade Bill. Barbara Boxer’s career depends on getting the Senate on board.

The line that makes me most ill? “While vote counts vary, most observers say that the bill’s fate will lie with 15 or so Democratic moderates, many of whom fear that a vote for climate-change legislation could hurt their re-election chances.”

Once again, the National Interest and the People BE DAMNED. The real concern is them keeping their rich corrupt asses comfortable as seat warmers and their principles have noting to do with it all.

    THROW THE BUMS OUT.

Isn’t EVERYONE TIRED of reading the same old crap – that these jackasses are “worried about their re-election” ?

They all need to go to Kitmo.

  67. The back story there SEEMS to be “Well, Babs, Senator, Ma’am, I would LOVE to vote with you, but if I do, the folks that send me money in the old home town will be mad at me and I may lose. So, maybe next time. Just as soon as I secure this here seat again. OK? Great, thanks. I knew you would understand. Hey! Why not call a Republican? Everyone hates them right now anyway.”

    ASSHATS

  68. That’s funny…

Amidst all the glee about North Carolina’s Governor, and Republican John Ensign – not to mention the frothing about that “wacko and narcissistic” soon-to-be-ex-Governor of Alaska…

our boys and gals in the Media missed THIS LITTLE GEM. Wow, go figure. I wonder how THAT happened….

“”God O Thunder” Ohio Gov Strickland Appointee Arrested
By David Hinz – Posted on July 10th, 2009
    Tagged: Reporting

Using the internet screen name “God O Thunder,” former Faith-Based and Community Initiatives director Robert E McFadden was arrested yesterday for offering a 17-year-old girl as a prostitute on the internet.

The appointee of Gov Ted Strickland, D-OH, was charged with two felony counts of compelling prostitution after he placed nude photos of the girl on craigslist and offered her as a “recommended” prostitute. Five other counts of pandering obscenity and promoting prostitution were dismissed. McFadden faces up to 10 years in prison.

McFadden was caught as a result of a police internet sting. He was never charged with having sex with the girl, but only with offering her services to other men.

    Quote:

McFadden, a former field director in a Catholic organization, was hired by Strickland in 2007 to lead the Faith-Based office, which was created to make it easier for religious organizations to compete for public funding.

He was paid $36 an hour.

He later was transferred to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction but was laid off because of budget cuts.

It is fortunate for McFadden that he is familiar with the Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, as he will soon be in need of their services.”

  69. Yes, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend must have been right. Obama (and his pals) DO represent American Catholics better than The Pope Himself.

    Well? Doesn’t He?

  70. oops, my bad – this was way back in January, so I guess it doesn’t matter now, does it? Wouldn’t have wanted to sully Strickland’s endorsement of The One right before the big coronation….

  71. I am dead serious here folks I wrote my senators and congressmen and went into all the crap they are voting for and said I hoped they were making enough money to hire the lawyers they are going to need to pay once real government is elected in 2010 and 2012 and puts them all on trial and that if they vote for this cap and trade may they all wake up to find one of these cork screw light bulbs up their butts. It is after all only fitting since you seem to love putting one to us on a daily basis.
People who voted for the Messiah and these fine upstanding pieces of crap are now waking up when they see that the change they voted for is far far worse then what they had.

  72. The blasphemers in the 0MSM needs to be turned over to either an exorcist or the Inquisition.

  73. FF: I’m confused. You’re sounding like you are for the legislation Boxer is pushing. She’s pushing Cap and Trade.

Boxer has been telling audiences for years that Congress must act, and that it will. After years of battling with the Bush administration, Boxer figures she has the best odds ever of getting a bill signed into law.

It still won’t be easy, however.

Sen. James Inhofe of Oklahoma , the top-ranked Republican on the environment committee, predicts that Boxer will fail. He said the public would see the legislation as a large tax increase once people understood that they’d ultimately bear the costs of any bill that forced companies to reduce global-warming emissions.

“Once the American public realizes what this legislation will do to their wallets, they will resoundly reject it,” Inhofe said Tuesday at a hearing.

Boxer said the legislation wouldn’t include any new taxes, and she’s portraying Republican opponents as obstructionists.

She says it won’t raise taxes, but it will increase costs of production as those carbon taxes are passed on to the consumers, it just won’t be a direct tax.

And Mary Landrieu **better** vote against this. I”m already pissed with her cuz she’s not in favor of the govt option on the health care debate.

  74. Oh shit, didn’t close a blockquote right or something. It should be closed before the Landrieu comment.

On M.O.’s costu outfit for the Pope; can’t say anything. I did elsewhere and got spanked for it. My bad.

  75. It just occurred to me that this Kennedy woman writing that 0 is a better Pope than the Pope is, among other things, taking a potshot at the Pontiff for refusing to accept little princess CaCa Kennedy as US ambassador to the Vatican.

Nice familia. The own private mafia.

  76. Mary…you know…um…that….Caroline is, well, you know, kinda like a, you know, better than even the, you know….POPE would be able to understand because, you know, he’s just the Pope and you know, he doesn’t really, you know represent, you know, the views, or you know, attitudes of like….like the, you know, Catholics of the….you know….uh…the you know, Catholics that are here in the uhhh…this country, you know the United States. Obama is like really like the most really…you know…most , you know…I mean the best qualified for…or at least most representative of….you know, how the…you know, Catholics in this country feel about stuff….you know…stufff……….

  77. Ah, thank you, my dear imust. Certainly that, uh, clarifies the, er, the matter, u no.

Wonderful to see you here after your Kitmo massages and manicures ordeal?

  78. No Fredster, not al all – ii was late and I was highly annoyed after realing SO MUCH BS in all the papers today…..sorry for any CON-fusion!

  79. No Fredster, not al all – ii was late and I was highly annoyed after realing SO MUCH BS in all the papers today…..sorry for any CON-fusion!

    Okay thanks for clarifying. :-)

I don’t see it as anything but a benefit to G.E. and a massive cost shift to consumers. “They” aren’t’ going to be paying for those carbon taxes, but “we” will…monthly…on the electric bill.
    ARRRGHHHHHH!!!!!

  82. Compact flourescents are great. I replaced all my regular indoor lightbulbs with them and can’t remember when I last changed a bulb since. Maybe a year ago.

See this great article from popular mechanics http://www.popularmechanics.com/home_journal/home_improvement/4215199.html back in 2007.

They also make white light CFLs, I don’t like the yellow ones either for reading or my kitchen. And they do make ones for outdoors. CFLs are available with cold-weather ballasts, which may be rated to as low as -23°C (-10°F). Cold cathode CFLs will start and perform in a wide range of temperatures due to their different design.

  83. Tom I would have to strongly disagree with you. They are dangerous in more ways than one.
