I just found this chart over at Riverdaughter’s “Buy A Clue, Ezra” entry.
I know it looks bad but don’t worry. Axelrod is working on a nice email about it to make you feel better. Nothing to see here. Move along.

And then there’s Axelrod’s personal benefit from advertising to support the White House push on the plan. His former Chicago agency (that he helped establish and that his son still works at) is the beneficiary of $2-million + in ad buys: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0809/26240.html
This figure$$$ and the GOP slaughter was
no surprise with this funding overkill. How
about a health ins co breakdown on funding,
which would be very revealing, given Zero’s
recent waffling on the public option.
Want to bet this is going to wind up
FAVORING both private insurance
companies and big pharma?
We know how committed they were to credit
card reform. Just jerk us around and don’t
REALLY change a freaking thing.
Wow, wow, wow, sigh. I think that graphic says it all. I really don’t know what to do or think anymore. Somehow or another this will all be blamed on Bill Clinton & George Bush.
Did you ever think so many years ago that we would see ad campaigns promoting congress and the President like a box of laundry soap ?
utah, well maybe not so many years ago, but certainly ever since Obama declared himself a candidate for POTUS. His campaign had Madison Avenue written all over it.
That graph under-reports the bribes. The “Health Industrial Complex” gave the Obama campaign >$19 million. They are now giving >$150 million to sell the Health Industry welfare “reform” legislation.
Don’t forget the 80 BILLION Big Pharma promised over ten years to “reduce” the cost of drugs. Right after they raise the prices
Kev is right. Who will this be blamed on ?
Politicians and their allegiances to their big buck donors is a conflict of interest. Those are the kind of questions people/”reporters” ought to be asking OGave-me at his untelepromptered sessions. Oops. He might slam someone in the process though, just the way he did the USPS, while applauding Fedex and UPS.

**********
The $80 billion represents 2% of revenues. The Govt. estimates that drug prices with double over the next decade. The, now not so secret, deal that Obama made with “Big Pharma” was that they could “lock-in” a 98% price increase rather than 100%. So Obama traded a few trillion dollars of our money for $150 million in ads to sell his “reform”.
hi upp just got message will do!
O-Bought Obama!

ACORN Director Pleads Guilty In Nevada

ACORN Director Pleads Guilty | Judicial Watch
A high-ranking official at the taxpayer-funded leftist group that conducts fraudulent voter registration drives has pleaded guilty to conspiracy for organizing a scheme that illegally paid workers to register new voters.
As a Nevada field director for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), Christopher Edwards paid canvassers—many of them “lazy crack heads”—to register new voters for the 2008 presidential election. He also set illegal quotas of at least 20 voters a day for canvassers to keep their job and offered an additional $5 for registering 21 or more.

Wow, that was one sicko thing FDR did. That meant anyone investing in gold boullion was just plain screwed for investing when it was legal.
Today, the Swiss banks said they will release the identities of US account holders so the governemtn can evaluate their assets. I know the rich can take it, but this is an all out assault. Barfy wants a 1% billionaire’s tax to pay for all his programs. 40 programs and all their income is gone. By then, they will move out of the US, put their money in the Caymans and stop paying US taxes entirely.
Guess who pays then.
While I look upon the thought of slapping around people who have hidden money in swiss banks with glee, I do know that they Will Find A Way. If not swiss banks, then something else. These people didn’t get rich being stupid.
I anticipate much movement out of the country P4, even without the swiss bank issue. I think we are going to see many rich people become expats. They are fleeing states like California and New York. Next they will flee the country.
When you treat the people who pay the most taxes like fugitives, they see no reason to stick around. Expeically when most of their government are more crooked than they are.
re: Stocking up. I admit I have done the same for quite awhile now. Inflation can ruin your life. You folks who are filling up the freezer, buying canned goods, etc. Don’t forget flour and rice. You can use the flour to make bread and do many things. Buy the biggest bag of rice you can find. It has a long shelf life. Same goes for pasta. That way you have your carbs, because things like potatoes just don’t last long unless you buy them canned, which is disgusting. Any cash you can accumulate is also very good. I have also stocked on frozen veggies, meat, poultry etc. When you see chickens on sale, get them. Also get canned beans as they shelf well and are good source of protein. Dry beans are still really cheap.
Think ahead for your pets too!
I worry about the Fed because they truly are in charge. Even if Obama wanted to thwart them he couldn’t. Politicians, even the president are nothing to them. The control all the money, the wealth and the future.
RE: Chart of Corruption
See recipients 1, 2, 3? We were pwned.
Take a lesson from one of my favorite canceled too soon shows, Jericho. Don’t forget to buy salt. Once you stop eating prepackaged food, you still need a certain sodium content to stay alive.
You are right, P.
Dear Valentine. just saw your post. Thank you!
I genuinely don’t know how much more of this we will be willing to take. Hopefully not much.
[...] for instance. Maybe if TYT had BOTHERED to do that, he would have seen that Obama got close to $1.5 MILLION dollars from the HMOs and Health Services. Surely TYT didn’t expect they gave him all that money for [...]
