I would like to say this is hard to believe, but not when it comes to this bunch.

Perhaps they don’t like how efficient New York City is at thwarting their  Protected terrorists. You know, the ones we keep pretending don’t exist, those poor misunderstood  “peaceful” creatures who work hard every day to figure out ways to kill as many of us as possible.

President Obama arrives in lower Manhattan Thursday afternoon to thank the NYPD for its heroic in an attempted Times Square bomb – but the photo-op may not go according to plan.

The Department of Homeland Security told congressional officials Wednesday that it’s moving to make cuts in anti-terror funding to New York City, less than two weeks after cops helped thwart and attempted car bombing in Times Square – an effort the White House has since pinned on the Pakistani Taliban.

One would think they want to help these bastards succeed. And to go there for a photo op is just….so……..Obama.

The cuts, lawmakers were told, amount to about 25 percent for port security, and another 27 percent for transit security, according to several reports.

Hey, why not make it 50%?  That should speed things up.

Tomorrow afternoon, after a stop in Buffalo, Obama is set to make a visit to the NYPD’s headquarters in lower Manhattan to applaud the police for their work.

I can’t believe your audacity. No, wait…I COMPLETELY believe it.  I honestly think this guy enjoys this malicious shit. What’s he going to say in his speech: “Nice job assholes, that’s why I’m cutting your security funding”????

DHS insisted there was more nuance than being described by some officials, and that there are actually additions to other programs that even out the apparent cuts.

“DHS is actively engaged in supporting New York City’s first responders and overall preparedness for acts of terrorism and other disasters through an array of grant programs. In 2009, DHS awarded more than $457 million to New York City to prepare for, respond to, and recover from terrorism and other threats,” officials from the agency said in a statement.

Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah. Try again.

The New York City area will get $111million for transit security in the final 2010 budget – a 27% chop from last year’s $153 million. The port security program is getting chopped from $45 million to $33.8million – a cut of 25%.

“The fact that the Obama administration would cut New York’s homeland security funding just 11 days after the Times Square car bomb attempt is dangerous and unconscionable,” King said.

I’d entrust my life to one New York City cop before I would trust my life to the whole lot of you DHS  pencil pushers. Next time one of these pigs plants a bomb, New York City ought to make all of YOU handle it and see how well it works out for you.

Here’s what NY thinks of you.

“Just when we thought they finally realized a war on terror is going on, they do something like this,” raged City Councilman Peter Vallone (D-Queens), head of the Council’s Public Safety Committee.

“This leaves us more vulnerable to ‘man-caused disasters,’” he said sarcastically, referring to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano‘s term for terror attacks.
