How well we all remember when Teh One and his most beloved thugs tried to bully the Olympic Games Committee in favor of Chicago 2016. It was a joy to behold when the idea was dropped by the Committee like a flaming asteroid.
Well, I’m here to tell you that Chicago has finally received a Top Honor it deserves. They are Number One, Numero Uno, the Top of The List of the 25 Most Dangerous Neighborhoods in the USA.
Winners are picked based on your chances of becoming a crime victim. Woot!
Congratulations to all UW readers from Chicago, who I am sure have found alternate routes around these neighborhoods.
1. Chicago, Ill.
Neighborhood: W. Lake St.
Found within ZIP code: 60612
Predicted annual violent crimes: 297
Violent crime rate (per 1,000): 257.72
My chances of becoming a victim here (in one year): 1 in 4
I know you will all agree that we are VERY lucky to have so many of Chicago’s stellar leaders in charge of America, including our very own Leader of The Free World!
And now, Chicago has even more to look forward to: Rahm Emanuel, Prince of Chicago Thugs, is running for Mayor there, regardless of the fact that he’s ineligible to do so. Being First amongst the most dangerous neighborhoods in America is right up his alley and so it is no surprise that he’s “Always” wanted to be Mayor of Chicago. I know that every person located in a Chicago cemetary is looking forward to Early-Voting for Rahm.
Congratulations, Chicago! I am sure you will continue to live up to your Number One reputation.
As for the rest of you: Don’t despair. I am sure there’s a neighborhood near you that has received an honor this year. If not, well there’s always next year!
Here is the exciting criteria used to select these attractive cities:
Key Proprietary Crime Data Points at the Neighborhood-Level
- Number of Motor Vehicles Stolen in every neighborhood
- Motor Vehicle Theft Risk for every neighborhood
- Number of violent crimes in each neighborhood
- Number of violent crimes per 1,000 neighborhood population
- A neighborhood resident’s chance of becoming a victim of violent crime (e.g., 1 in 24)
- Number of property crimes in each neighborhood
- Number of property crimes per 1,000 neighborhood population
- A neighborhood resident’s chance of becoming a victim of property crime (e.g., 1 in 9)
- Total number of crimes in each neighborhood
- Total number of crimes per 1,000 neighborhood population
- Neighborhood Crime Index (overall Crime Safety rating, nationally comparable)
- Neighborhood Violent Crime Index (Violent Crime Safety Rating, nationally comparable)
- Neighborhood Property Crime Index (Property Crime Safety Rating, nationally comparable)
- Total Crimes per Sq. Mile within each neighborhood
- Violent Crimes per Sq. Mile within each neighborhood
- Property Crimes per Sq/ Mile within each neighborhood
I know you are all dying to move to Chicago, particularly if you have a Death Wish, but just in case you don’t mind not being Number One, you can relocate to one of the other 24 neighborhoods in other cities. Some of them have two or more neighborhoods for you to choose from. And if you enjoy moving around but want to stay in the same city, Las Vegas gives you the best bang for the buck, with three dangerous neighborhoods in the top 25. Boy, Harry sure is doing a great job there. With another term, he might even help increase the chances of Grandma getting beaten to a pulp for $5 to 1 in 3!
Why, I bet, with Harry in charge, Las Vegas might even surpass Chicago next year. After all, they are right up there with Chicago in the glorious category of Bank Closings. Just think of how exciting it would be to not only live there, but to have your bank fold so you can wait for the FDIC to decide when you can access your checking account. Now THAT’s excitement! But always remember, it was Chicago, where the first folded bank occurred, thanks to Barack’s good friend and Obama 2008 National Campaign Finance Chair, The Mother of Subprime Lenders of Hyatt fame, Penny Pritzker. I think it was our loss that she turned down the Department of Commerce appointment Barack offered her, don’t you? We haven’t heard much of her lately, that’ might be because she’s probably busy fighting with unions, but if you want to run into her when you move to Chicago, it’s pretty safe to say you won’t find her in the Number One Neighborhood on this list.
Oops, I digressed. I can do that. It’s my blog.
Let’s face it. You just can’t outdo Chicago when it comes to Number Ones.
Here’s the list of the other most dangerous neighborhoods. Now please remember that, if you move to one of these neighborhoods and only have something silly happen to you, like, say, your car is stolen and left in a lake, or your charge cards are stolen and used in a shopping spree, don’t become impatient! Give it a few weeks and you will be beaten to a pulp before you know it!
…..
Hey, maybe one of you enterprising Uppityites could maybe arrange a bus tour to all these neighborhoods. Feel free to overbook the return trip seats as there will be plenty of empty seats due to….um….attrition.

"This is not culture. This is not custom. This is criminal."

Ahem. I would venture to say there is a “Common Denominator” in these neighborhoods.
Perhaps we should do the research…..
(Now, from the previous thread)
Hi everyone!
I haven’t meant to be not here SO much, but I have been working a huge job. It started off as fun, but the painters I hired (someone I knew) COMPLETELY Botched the job and I had to fire them and hire new painters ( a woman-owned company this time) and have been having to re-do about 50% of the stuff that was botched.
So much for making any money on this one. Couple this with teaching and cooking and I am really really tired and not here much. I have another week or so to go, but I will be back. I PROMISE I will do some fun graphics and stuff in time for the elections, but I just don’t have a funny bone in my body at the moment.
Love to all!
FF
gotta go. Keep the faith!
Heck Uppity why do you think I was more then happy to sell my place and get the hell out of Vegas ? Even Los Angeles is far safer then Vegas. I was starting to become a shut in there. I hated going out. Time was you did feel safe there but not now. It has to top the list of places I want to stay out of. Unfortunately both my children still live there and I have to go there but I sure would never move back there.
this is vegas strip and trust me I have seen this going on to people out shopping too
This is why I think people ought to be allowed to open carry a gun again. Had that been me I would have shot him. Should she have gotten in trouble if she had ?
She should have run him over. Get in trouble? They should give anybody who takes a creature like that out a trophy. Her defense would have been easy. SHe feared for her life. Who wouldn’t? Jesus, what an animal.
sometimes it pays to live in the back of beyond!
I have to go catch up on what I missed- looks like I have a lot of catch up reading to do.
What? Detroit doesn’t make the list? Oh, sorry – I forgot it’s been closed down and doesn’t register on the radar for anything anymore.
Thanks for publishing this. Your writing is very funny and made me laugh out loud. But the post is helpful to me. I am thinking of moving and have no idea about neighborhoods. Safety is important to me as I had my share of danger and am over it totally. I was shocked by Atlanta.
Rahm Emanuel is responsible for discarding the health care public option even though he promoted it in BO’s campaign. he is responsible for the deals with the insurance companies even though the Democrats controlled the house and senate. He lost US the one chance we had to reform this oligarchy and return it to democracy. He is responsible for using sexism and racism to put BO in the White House. I wish he would be so defeated in Chicago that he becomes toxic everywhere in politics. I hope his campaign brings out his failures and shows that the people are angry not because the democrats went too far, but because they did not go as far as they cynically promised during their campaign. Listening to their excuses now makes the unemployed vomit. Let’s hope Chicago masses show the cowards still in office that they cannot buy their way out of the truth again. But I know as usual in an oligarchy, the alternative will not present any real choice for women and the unemployed. Crumbs. We have to accept their poison crumbs.
Marsha, detroit is no longer eligibile to enter due to their placement in the Hall Of Fame.
Did you catch this? One day the flag of islam will fly over the White House? And how does Daisy feel about being told she should cover up?
I simply cannot believe those foolish young American women are sitting in that room and aren’t simply freaking out for their own future.
GC, if I were moving, checking out the stats for the neighborhood would be the FIRST thing I would do. Better yet, I would be looking for a gated community even if it meant I had to change my style of living to pay for it. There are neighborhoods like the ones on this list all over the country. It’s just the larger cities they studied. But what’s the difference if you live in a small city below 100,000 or a large city with millions if you are moving to an area where you are going to get mugged or killed? If you are moving, check out the stats for the entire city and then drill down to where the home you are interested in is located. For the entire city, welfare statistics, unemployment numbers and median income levels are huge tipoffs too. And unemployment statistics should be doubled in your head because they don’t take into account people who left the area to get a job, and they don’t include people who got their last check, fell off the rolls and gave up.
Even then, I would never live anywhere without a well trained dog that I don’t have to bend down to pet.
Mom, I am going to put that video up later. I think it’s just amazing that the women in that room who aren’t covered up aren’t running from that room screaming. It’s like watching Clueless. Incidentally, for those who don’t know, “Daisy” is the Ground Zero mosque imam’s wife. So don’t be charmed by her smile.
Amenpour. It figures.
Amazing isn’t it Uppity? Anybody who thinks islam is a religion of peace is blind or willfully ignorant. IMO Daisy should be sent to live in Iran or Saudi Arabia for a year and then we can ask her what she thinks of her religion.
I missed you guys! The visit with the son and his family was wonderful!
I am telling you Uppity I have a horrible temper these days. It takes very little of this type of shit to set me off. If I had been next to that woman I would have gotten out and grabbed my tire iron and wore his ass out.
Is Rammy Emanny even eligible to run for mayor of Chi-town?
Uppity! There is hope for the future of feminism! Check this out! And a big old “You Go Girls!” to these young women!
http://www.ctpost.com/local/article/Bridgeport-cheerleaders-say-uniforms-expose-too-683820.php#photo-2
BRIDGEPORT — The midriff-exposing uniforms given to the Central High School cheerleading squad this fall are nothing to cheer about, according to several team members.
A half-dozen upperclassmen on the team appeared before the city Board of Education this week asking its members how they’d feel if their daughters were dressed in something similar’.
These young women went to the Board of Education to try and get some help to get their cheerleading uniforms changed! I love these young women!
The day the flag of islam flies over the white house in every city and every state in this country “Lorrina Bobbitt Brigades armed with ginsue circumision knives should be started.
While on my trip around the country I met a women who told be about trying to sell her parents house in Detroit. The parents bought it for $9800 in 1948 brand new. Only had one owner and was well kept until they died. When the women went to sell it last year thanks to the neighborhood going down hill she was lucky to get $11000. for it.
WOMEN WITH INTELLIGENCE AND EXPERIENCE, MEN WHO SUPPORT THEM AND COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY ALWAYS
PUMAS,BUBBAS,EQUALISTS AND THOSE CHATTERING PEOPLE RULE
PS
This was a two story , 4 bedroom house with living room, dining room kitchen and 2 baths.
John, since when does eligibility stop these people?
Mom, it’s about time we see some girls who have some self respect. Too bad they are rare. But good on them for understanding that making them sex objects is the only goal.
I think Rahmbo should have his HQ down in that neighborhood, don’t you?
He’s not sensing love yet.
omg my daughter lives on the other side of the tracks on that same street in louisville ky! i about died when she said they were looking at that “up and coming” part of town! the older neighbors sure are glad to have the new-comers and i have sent her this link and another reminder to keep her eyes open and lock those doors!thanks for the post uppity~
sent my gutless wonder video to all the mayoral candidates…only one responded and it will be the one we vote for anyways…
the senate candidate running against rand paul we sent him a new video with dogs barking in the background and his canvassers asking us if we would vote for him and we said only if he would get this ladies dogs to stop barking! gutless wonder discusses politics! hilarious/serious!
truck has been out twice watching…we don’t know what to think…waiting for new leadership still…THANKS!
dogs do bark
foxy, you don’t want a dog that barks. you want a dog that snacks on intruders.
I will have to rely on others here to agree or disagree, but it’s my experience that shitbums stay away from homes with big dogs who have no problem showing their teeth at appropriate times. Just size alone scares them. Hell, there’s a delivery guy here who calls my house from the road before he brings the pizza or whatever because he knows there’s a dog here that’s bigger than a bread box. Last spring my dog woke up the house in the middle of the night and ran to the rear of the house. I opened the inside door and there was some skinny dipwad complete with ass-hanging pants imagining he could break into the garage. So I opened the door a crack and held my dog’s collar while her face was poked out and said, you can leave now or I can give you tomy dog. Now which do you think he opted to do?
Where’s Utah? Utah’s got a couple of ACDs that would gladly pick a shitbum’s bones clean.
Agreed Uppity- a dog that means business is better than any fancy schmancy alarm. Sure the alarm company will call the cops- but you will still be dead by the time they get there- the dog will have eaten the evidence in the same time.
foxy, dogs bark…here you go……….
Oh hell I ride with my crew. One of these crack heads tried to do that I would roll it down and let the games begin. Then when the dogs had had their fill I would shoot him in the nut sack for good measure.
A well trained dog would be ones best defense.
After my dog out foxed two pitties, I am not worried. I know now she can do anything.
I about peed myself when I read this- Rahm doesn’t like it when an opponent uses the tried and true ofraudma tactic of throwing the competition off the ballot— BWAHAHAHA!
http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2010/10/rahm_emanuel_experts_say_not_a.html
“Two officials from the Chicago Board of Elections have clearly stated that the overriding legal issue is intent, and the fact that Rahm owns a home and votes in Chicago means he’s a Chicagoan — regardless of his opponent’s old-style political efforts to limit the choice for voters,” Emanuel spokeswoman Lori Goldberg said
Old style political efforts to limit the voter’s choice????? Old style? Like late 20th century is ancient history?
Off the ballot for THEE not ME!
Incidentally. owning property in a city does NOT make you a resident. It just makes you a property owner. However, where he IS registered to vote DOES count. But so does the half year rule. In other words, how much time has he spent in Chicago in the past year? If he spent more than half the year elsewhere, then that is where he is a resident, and he just hasn’t changed his voter registration. What is his IRS address??????
ACK Cack, that video is worse the second time. But obnoxious aside, I’ll bet if somebody tried to break in, it would be a woeful mess.
I’m sad to see Memphis STILL making the list. It was bad when I lived there as a child and young adult. I mean REALLY bad as in I didn’t know one single person who had not been broken into at least once. That’s NOT just in the bad neighborhoods either. To quote someone I know “It’s just part of living here.” That was thirty years ago.
Some of these cities are so corrupt things will never get better for the good people who are trying to live and work there.
Chicago being on that list doesn’t surprise me one bit. And let them HAVE Rahm! If he’s not their mayor obozo will put him back in the W.H. in some capacity. I don’t want him off the ballot. lol.
ah well at least OTR isn’t #1 any more. That was embarassing.
sonrisa, i just figured out why you land in spam sometimes, or in mod. Your IP address changes. So if you don’t show up right away, you know why.
What an awful “first” to be for Chicago.
