I posted these so everybody will be sure to see them.
Boehner and Bush get scammed.

There were many others he scammed too trust me. I watched this last night. Although this guy needs to be brought to his knees I also can’t help but giggle at the congressmen that scam the shit out of us being bested at their own game. Thing is we all got nailed by this and ultimately we are the ones that once again were scammed.
Uppity:
When J. Edgar Hoover initiated his “COINTELPRO” program (in 1956), it was the beginning of the unraveling of our liberties and freedoms.
I not only think that President Kennedy was speaking directly to that in his speech, but in his doing so, it is why I will always believe that J. Edgar Hoover was behind President Kennedy’s assignation.
In 1971, the Church Committee (“United States Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities”) declared the program not only illegal, but basically unconstitutional.
The Committee recognized the power that such a governmental covert program could wage against any American citizen. Initially, it specifically targeted the activities of “political dissenters” and civil rights activists. It quickly expanded its reach to include any other person or entity that Hoover – along with his ideological, power-mongering allies – deemed an ideological, political “enemy”.
Once it was set into into motion and the threat of its covert activities to any U.S. citizen became known, it was already too late to stop it. While invasive and corrupt as hell, it wielded a hell of a lot of power – especially for those that supported Hoover’s use of it behind closed doors.
I believe Kennedy had every intention of exposing COINTELPRO to the American people and destroying it – and Hoover – justifiably so, for what it represented.
It took almost 8 years after Kennedy’s assassination for COINTELPRO to come to light as a result of the Church Committee.
Another 7 years or so would pass before it became known in 1979 that Hoover had actually thwarted any investigation into whether a conspiracy was involved in the assassination of our President.
Hoover had motive and the COINTELPRO infrastructure was already in place to eliminate its greatest threat – our country’s President.
He knew it was the single greatest threat that American citizens faced in protecting our constitutional right to be free from an intrusively oppressive government.
Despite the efforts of many who saw it for what it was in the late 70′s and tried to cage what Hoover unleashed, “COINTELPRO” is woven into every area of our lives today.
Herlo-
If I remember correctly, the Church Committee also found that JFK was “probably” killed as the result of a conspiracy, just as the jury in the Clay Shaw case had concluded.
Doesn’t it make your head want to explode to think about that, and about the fact that even after those conclusions, the US Govt. didn’t think it important enough to investigate further!!!!
That heinous act and the cover-up that continues to this day laid the foundation for the destruction of our country as we are now experiencing it.
Herlocaust,
I agree with you. Kennedy also wanted to splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds; get rid of the Federal Reserve and pushed for peace with Russia.
He was a major threat to the military-industrial complex, which makes a “killing” out of production of war machinery and war, itself. They had to get rid of Kennedy.
These 2 secret service agents who are claiming that Oswald acted alone is pure bullshit. Why they are coming out now doesn’t make sense, as far as the timing is concerned. Maybe they are just trying to make a buck off of the death of Presidemt Kennedy, but from everything I read, many within the Secret Service aided and abetted his assassination. Hell, the night before that fateful drive past the grassy knoll, most of the agents were partying until the wee hours at Jack Ruby’s bar!
Arlen. Specter. And we all know how honest he is.
That was SOME single bullet too! It hit him twice!
I could listen to either/both of these speeches a thousand times and never tire of them.
Kennedy talking about the “news” and the reason the press is the only business protected in the Constitution. (sigh) Now we have infotainment.
I am and always will be a supporter of our military- but the military under the control of the citizens. Corrupt businesses have been ripping us off in the matter of supplying the military for a very very long time. Overcharging for shoddy boots for Civil War soldiers comes to mind. And it goes on and on and on. Hopefully – honest Americans will continue to expose what the press won’t touch.
I think I will pass these video warnings around some today.
Thanks Uppity.
I was reading an article about Alice Paul and it ended with a quote from her, that I have decided I will use against any person who ever tries to pit women against ourselves. You know, the old divide and conquer routine that men have elevated to a science.
Later in her life, when women had the right to vote, when the equal rights act was passed, but not yet left unratified, Alice Paul said of women: “they probably are going to do a lot of things that I wish they wouldn’t do; but it seems to me that it isn’t our business, to say what they should do with it. It is our business to see that they are free.” http://harvardmagazine.com/2010/11/alice-paul
Listening brought tears to my eyes. Great men – and not a teleprompter around. Where are the great men today? I still vividly remember what I was doing when the news came about JFK’s assassination, as I’m sure a lot of other people do. It’s something that is seared in the brain – the loss of something special. I suppose that’s why when the Won spoke of hope, it didn’t make an impression on me. Great women have stepped up, but no great men – where did they go? Wellstone had the potential, but …..
Krugman is not happy with the Catfood Commission.

Disturbing article about Soros’ relationship with the Military/ Industrial Complex:
http://www.newstatesman.com/200306020019
Appears to be an intellectually honest assessment, too. (Not just so much more propaganda.)
That article is a little dated, BTW. But something I had not seen before.
We are so damned screwed… to have no-one in power that can or would stand up to such global manipulation. And a system of campaigning that, by it’s very nature, makes SURE we won’t.
Soros enjoys playing with innocent people’s lives. He’s done it before. We are nothing but ants on an ant farm to him. Fortunately, he can’t take it with him and he’s 80. When the devil takes him it will be justice for the other countries he has preyed upon and good luck for the other countries he didn’t live long enough to ruin. And his relatives will have a blast with the that blood money he accrued and forget about his ass, as it should be.
There are countries that never want his ass on their turf again. He is a hated man and perfect material for hell fires if they exist. If not, then he will just rot in the ground and be forgotten. When I think of pigs like George Soros I think of Ozymandias. One day someone will stumble upon a headless piece of a statue of him and say, so who the hell was this fool and how immortal did he really think he was?
Ah, Shelley – my favorite poem, and it’s so true for all the bloodless bloodsuckers who try to bleed the “common” people dry.
Paul Wellstone, HT, did have the potential and was probably silenced because of it…too many people
in the Midwest and elsewhere believe this isn’t just a conspiracy theory. Paul himself was fearless and the outspoken critic of wars in the Middle East.
Once at a town meeting in Minnesota, he recalled a threat from Dick “Vader” Cheney on the Senate floor.
Cheney said if Wellstone didn’t quiet down “We will get you!” Months later, Paul was dead, along with his wife, Sheila, daughter and a campaign aide.
My daughter and son-in-law worked for the Wellstone campaign from 1999 to his death in that
“accidental” late October plane crash in northern Minnesota. They were friends of the Wellstones and could easily have been with him as the Senate campaign against Norm Coleman was in its final days.
My daughter cried in a phone call= “They killed him!” That night, my son-in-law paced the steps of the Minnesota state capitol and spoke to a reporter= “They say there are no political heroes left. We had one here.” (His 5-year-old son has the middle name Paul. Their house is still decorated with Wellstone campaign signs.)
The searing incident made them die-hard Democrats, sometimes regardless of a candidate’s merits. My daughter works for the Department of Abuse that Sheila Wellstone championed.
There’s more, but nuff said for now.
Hal, I have no doubts about the Wellstone situation and I have no doubts about the JFK situation. I am so sorry for your family’s grief. It makes it worse when you know that the culprits will never be exposed.
Wellstone, from all I have read and watched was an incredible human being, and it’s telling that so many years after his ‘death’ people remember him. Sad that we don’t have any politicians today of that calibre.
Yes he was a good man HT, and I VIVIDLY recall how that bastard party turned his funeral into a campaign rally for themselves, the pigs.
Uppity, that’s the worst – they couldn’t just let a good man be remembered, they had to piggyback on his popularity. It is the stench of desperate men trying to tie their names to a good man. The worst is that there is no one who can step up and take his mantle. Very sad times we live in.
Sigh….well, here’s other things from “that other party” that pissed off a lot of the country= News of Wellstone’s death barely reached the airwaves and GWB was already saying to Senate Democrats=
“Sorry you lost that majority.” Huh? As the saying goes,
“What did he know and when did he know it?” Then as Norm Coleman, that POS, took his seat, he spouted “I’m a 100 percent improvement over Wellstone.” Right, Norm….that’s why you lost to that novice and comedian Franken?? Coleman never learned it isn’t nice to speak ill of the dead. Fucked himself.
Hal, words aren’t enough to convey my sorrow over your family’s loss, so I won’t try. Let this suffice – I don’t believe that Wellstone’s death was an accident. Never have believed it..
