The tax dodger says he’s going to crack down on tax dodgers

geithnerIt’s really amazing that  Tim Geithner could actually say this with a straight face, isn’t it?

He’s going to crack down on international tax dodgers. I guess  Domestic tax dodgers are okay though. They can even be put in charge of the Treasury and the IRS.

I wonder what Tim will do when they all tell his IRS that they used Turbo Tax and got messed up.

There’s no irony here or anything, is there?

Geithner: Obama to fight international tax dodgers

President Barack Obama’s Treasury secretary says the administration will unveil a series of rules and measures in the coming months to limit the ability of international companies to avoid U.S. taxes.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told the House Ways and Means Committee on Tuesday that Obama will propose legislation to limit U.S. companies’ ability to shelter foreign earnings from taxation in the U.S. He also said the administration will try to limit wealthy Americans’ ability to use tax havens to avoid taxation.

He did not immediately provide details.

I especially love that last line.

Really, Barack Obama should have gotten somebody else to have this discussion.

  1. These people are all so self-righteous.

And guess what? Obama is going on television again today to announce contract spending reformation.

Gee – it’s been so long since we have seen him.

  2. Hypocrites—–all of them. They SHOULD all be audited.

  3. FF not another major speech from jackass! The dow will go below 6000 for sure.

“I especially love that last line.”

Translation from the administration: I won. No matter how ridiculous and ironic our behavior may be, we get to do what I want.

  5. What? Another “major speech”? Is there a way to bet against the stock market and make money? Maybe Vegas has odds on how far the Dow drops after The Oracle speaks.

  6. Sorry to say, DE, it is true. Obama cannot NOT be on the news daily, least we forget “who won.”

He is also SO narcissistic that he cannot stand to think of a day where we are not forced (in his mind) to listen and dutifully nod in approval – no matter what he says or how much destruction his words cause. Not to mention, his “policies.”

And they railed about the hubris of the Bush/Cheney gang.

Is anyone sick of Obama, yet?

  7. Every week, there he is. Who holds the record? I think maybe Castro?

  8. Pot calling the kettle black. Hypocrisy abounds in Zer0 land.

  9. Lassie, bad girl, you should never have hauled that guy out of the well.

  10. By the way, The Onester said yesterday we should buy stocks. Has anyone seen his blind trust or whatever–what is he invested in?

  11. reminds me of Mark Foley –

spends his time claiming to help protect children from sexual predators, all the while he spent his life at home and work talking to mostly children

  12. Tax cheat stamp! Ha ha ha, hee hee hee, yeeeehaaawwww!!!! Thanks, Uppity, you never fail to find the tidbits that make us laugh. Where can I get one? More importantly, can you buy them in bulk?

  13. Best part of this was that he told it to Ways & Means Chairman Charlie Rangle, who is an even bigger tax cheat.

  16. A message to the 0MSM:

For failing to report the truth about 0 and his gallery of thugs, may what is left of your rotted brains and corrupted souls leave you with just enough cognition to understand that the torments you suffer in hell will never let up for a single instant every second of every day and night for ever, and ever, and ever.

Your cowardice has enabled unadulterated Evil.

  17. […] desired because consensus is that it will NOT work. Add to that, whom amongst us truly has faith in Tim Geithner, aka chief tax cheater and his bank fix? […]
