No kidding. You can’t make this shit up.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Federal government sent about 3,900 economic stimulus payments of $250 each this spring to people who were in no position to use the money to help stimulate the economy: prison inmates.

In addition to paying for the food, lodging and weight room for some of Americas most vile subhumans, you will be happy to know you helped them out with stimulus checks so that they can purchase their cigarettes and drugs and keep that old prison economy running smoothly.

Prison inmates are generally ineligible for federal benefits. However, 2,200 of the inmates who received checks got to keep them because, under the law, they were eligible, said Mark Lassiter, a spokesman for the Social Security Administration. They were eligible because they weren’t incarcerated in any one of the three months before the recovery package was enacted.

“The law specified that any beneficiary eligible for a Social Security benefit during one of those months was eligible for the recovery payment,” Lassiter said.

The other 1,700 checks? That was a mistake.

This means that any murderer or pervert child molester who wasn’t incarcerated three months prior got a check from you in addition to the travesty that we let him live.

Hey, I wonder if Bernie Madoff got one?

I for one feel much better knowing that these same folks will soon be in charge of my health care , especially the data base that contains every detail about my life and health, don’t you?

    FF here on the east coast the shuttle launch was awesome. The trajectory seemed to follow right up the coastline. We were able to watch it until main engine shut off. It was AWESOME!

    BTW I’m no longer mummy hand, just multiple bandage hand, LOL! But I’m improving!!!! The underside of two fingers (middle and ring) are still big long blisters, but the other two fingers and the palm are better well except I have gator skin, LOL! It looks like the only bad place I really have is on the top of my middle finger, you can clearly see the outline of my oven element. It’s pretty deep and dark red with black edges. But the rest of my hand looks like it will heal up without much problem.

    I had to laugh about the fact that soon enough I’ll be left only with bandages on the big knuckle of my middle finger and below as that is the worse area. Well think about it, I’ll be walking around with a bandaged, stiffened sticking straight up middle finger for a few weeks. Now that is walking around with an attitude!
