More Hard Choices for Hillary

Hillary Clinton joined Instagram today.

Her caption “Hard Choices” was in reference to the choice of red, white or blue pantsuit.

Many Instagrammers were amused, posting comments like “YAAS QUEEN,” “ICONIC,” and “You’re hilarious, I love you,” “my girl can joke,” while others were not amused, writing “No oldsters allowed on Instagram.”

In less than an hour, Clinton has gained almost 10,000 new followers and over 1,000 likes.

Off to follow Hillary on Instagram!

  2. Thanks for stopping by foxy!

  3. Very cute. Is instagram like twitter with pictures?

  4. Thanks for letting us know about this, imust.

On Hillary’s Instagram, there’s a short clip of a new video to be released soon. Looks good. Also a picture of her as a child riding her tricycle. It says “Pedal to the metal”. Maybe someone could post it here. I don’t know how.

  5. Annie, I think that describes Instagram very well. But I’m not on Facebook or any of those social media sites so it’s just a guess on my part.

  6. I’ll try:

  7. Anyone going to a house party to watch Hillary historic speech?

  8. I am home and officially bionic.

  9. Yay! Bionic Uppity Woman is back! Jump for joy!! 🙂

  10. Welcome home, Uppity Woman!!

  11. Good news!

  12. Glad you are home, Uppity!

  13. Yay Uppity!

  14. hahahahaaa imust

  15. Hillary’s new campaign video:

  16. Hillary’s speech from Roosevelt Island will be tomorrow at 11:00 am EDT. It will be live-streamed ( see Hillary’s Facebook page for the link ) and C-SPAN will show it live as well.

  17. Thank you, Beata. That ‘s marvelous; I still get tears in my eyes when I hear Hillary speak those words in Beijing.

  18. Great video Beata!

  19. Love the video. It’s already up on YouTube, so let’s all go there, view it again, and like it. Don’t let the trolls win!

  20. Hi Uppityites! Uppity-ites? De-lurking just to say welcome back and hope all is going well Uppity! I missed lurking here. Can’t remember my handle from 2008 but may have been Allie.

Is it just me or do kids today not “get” ageism? That crack about “no oldsters” riled me up. I don’t do Faceborg because I can’t stand that smartass Marc “old people just aren’t as smart” Zuckerberg.

  21. Hey Allie, I remember you for sure. Welcome back and thank you for your good wishes.

  22. I am glad that trade agreement got shitcanned. Look what NAFTA has done for us!!!! Make that TO us!!!!

  23. Hi Allie!

  24. Clearly, she did not identify with the race she was assigned.

  25. Well hey if you can reject your ‘assigned’ gender, why not your ‘assigned’ race or ethnicity? Seems fair. She obviously didn’t feel white at a young age.

  26. Hey Upps! Glad your procedure went well. 🙂

Can’t wait to see Hillary’s announcement tomorrow. If I keep my normal vampire hours, I’ll have to set the alarm to catch it. LOL!

  27. check out this tweet! Stole it from still4hill’s place.

Wish I knew how to embed tweets.

  28. imust, below the tweet, to the right you see dots…hover over them and you see a “More” menu. Click on Embed and copy the text in the box. xo

  29. Thanks Fredster. We had a huge thunder storm last night and I went outside to see if I make a good lightning rod…

  30. So did you attract any lighting bolts or anything?

  31. No but I broke into a dance

  32. Happy Hillary Day, Uppityites!!

  33. Sophie, are you at a house party today?

  34. The Roosevelt Island rally is live on C-SPAN now. Hillary is expected to speak at around 11:45 am ET.

  35. Watching!!!! So exciting!! They just played “Shake it Off!

  36. Bill and Chelsea are there!
OMG! They’re playing “Brave” for her entrance!!!

  37. She’s here! Her stage is an “H”
    Oh my….I’m crying….I’m actually crying!!!! I didn’t think I’d cry!!!!

  38. I have been running errands, listening through my C-SPAN radio app, wearing my “For everyone who’s ever been…” shirt. I’m home now.

    She is kicking ass!

  39. Loved that No Ceilings remark at the beginning

  40. “I will be the youngest woman president in the history of the United States!”

  41. Youngest woman president in history!!!! Perfect! And no ceilings!

  42. Speech is re-airing tonite. Also, before this came on, C-SPAN aired a talk with Jennifer Palmieri and Robby Mook and they were excellent, so if you see that re-aired as well, do take the time to check it out.

  43. C-SPAN lists their re-airings today at 3:30 pm, 8:00 pm, and 11:00 pm. All ET.

  44. She praised Obama…..but what else could she do?!! But I noticed she talked a lot about jobs going overseas, etc. I wonder how she’ll handle the TPP issue? She praised Bill Clinton as a president too! The crowd chanted, “Bill, Bill!!” She said to keep that up….he’ll love that!! So cute!

  45. Wonderful speech. She has become an excellent public speaker!

  46. My mom adored Hillary and longed to see her in the White House.
Sadly, she didn’t live to see that happen but, God willing, we all will.

  47. Sweet Sue, my late mother adored Hillary, too. She was so proud to cast her vote in the nursing home for Hillary in the 2008 primary. My mother was from NYC; she would have loved this day. It was very special.

  48. @upps: LOL!!!

  49. Beata, we have a lot in common.
My mom was from NYC, originally, (Sunnyside, Queens) and she, too, cast her vote for Hillary in her nursing home/retirement community.

  50. I loved this one:

  51. Uppity Woman, on June 11, 2015 at 7:08 PM said:

I am home and officially bionic.

    woot!!!! 😀

  52. They also played Katy Perry’s “Roar”!

If you have Snapchat….you can see some great shots at: Hello, Hillary 2016.

  53. “I will be the youngest woman president in the history of the United States!”

  54. Uppity, glad you’re back! Stopping by the blogs today to say this is a wonderful day. I’m excited and hopeful for the first time since 1993!

  55. And if you have Spotify, you can listen to her official campaign playlist:

  56. But if you’d rather watch the speech from the comfort of Uppity’s Great Room, here it is:

  57. Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger” is on Hillary’s playlist:

  58. Oh, and if you watch Sunday political TeeVee, tomorrow is going to be a really busy day for Hillary surrogates:

I am most looking forward to the Bill Clinton interview on CNN’s State of the Union With Jake Tapper. That’s on at 9 AM here on the east coast.

  59. Thanks, Sophie. Guess I’ll miss church tomorrow!

  60. Hey there blog wife!!!!

  61. You don’t have to wait for a re-airing to see her speech, I just went to CSPAN and saw the whole thing. Snapped some stills too. Now if I could just remember that stupid overly complex wp code to post pics. It is SOOOOOOOOOOOO tedious to try to find out how to do something in wordpress help. They really lack when it comes to these things.

Anyhow, can sophie or imust post some pic so I can edit and copy the code and insert my pic in a new comment?

  62. You don’t even have to go to C-SPAN. You can go 6 comments up (me @ 5:25) and watch it right here!

  63. I upload the pic, click edit, swipe and copy the url, then go to the comment and add it.

  64. Tweet of the day (IMHO)

  65. The kooks on both the right and the left are already shitting in their pants over this.

  66. Yes they are, Tony!! (The *real* Tony Stark?!!)

  67. JARVIS thinks so.

  68. Yeah Tony, cracks ya up doesn’t it?

  69. Sophie, there’s a code. Alt, something or nuther, quotes, blah blah. I have the pic in the media area loaded. If I only add the url, all you see is an url to click on. I want the pic to show up in the comment

  70. Ooops, sorry Soph, I didn’t realize you posted a link to Hill’s speech. I saw everyone talking about when it’s going to be ‘re-aired’

  71. Full blown Clinton Derangement Syndrome at the Drudge Report and at makes for amusing reading and a powerful reminder of the terror she strikes in those cursed with mouse balls.

  72. Yeah but I already posted one. I have four in there.

  73. Time stamp: Never changed setting to daylight savings time

  74. Test

    Hokay, time fixed.

  75. great photos Uppity!

  76. Too much shorthand. In the comment box from Admin, not from the blog page. If you click image (or something like that) there, you get a pop-up where you paste the URL.

  77. JARVIS thinks so.

  78. Her speech was so wonderful I cried. I think this was a fantastic start.

Upps, I’m glad everything went well, but how are you feeling?

Good to see so many Uppityites back! Waving and blowing kisses to all of you!

  79. I guess I’m doing ok, socal. Who the hell knows.

  80. A new blog worth checking out:

  81. I remember Tony. Waving!

  82. Okay east coasters, explain Chris Christie to me. I don’t get it. What do they see in him??? All I see is a bully and a jerk.

Christie took a swipe at Clinton on Sunday, calling her out of touch with the real problems Americans face. “How would she know what real Americans are really concerned about?” Christie said. “I don’t know. Is it … when she’s out giving paid speeches? I don’t understand when she would know what she was saying yesterday about real Americans. How would she know?”

And of course….Chris would know. He’s just your average Joe Sixpack who sits on the couch watching football:

An expense report obtained by by a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request shows that in 2010 and 2011 New Jersey governor Chris Christie paid $82,594 to Delaware North Sportservice, a company that operates the concessions at MetLife Stadium, home to the Giants and Jets.

    Or not.

  83. Yeah like no secty of state is out giving paid speeches. They’re just jealous that nobody wants to listen to them as often. You pay what you think a person’s worth Chris. And by the way, I can’t watch you because i need to get a bigger TV. Keep chewing, boy!

  84. Great photos of the speech yesterday, Upps! Thanks!

Still4Hill has some fab pics of the event, too. Doesn’t she always?

  85. Fat jokes? What next? Making fun of Caitlyn? So un-PC. LOL.

  86. He’s not fat, Beata. He’s over the top. He can’t manage himself much less a country.

And with all his money, including kickbacks, he has a world of resources at his fingertips up to and including surgical choices. Resources other people would kill to have. He’s just a self-absorbed slob who doesn’t give a crap and it shows.

  87. I agree, Uppity. Christie’s a fine one to accuse Hillary of being out of touch with “real Americans”. He has plenty of help available to lose weight and get healthier. Most Americans who do lose weight don’t have access to those resources. Christie’s not only out of touch with “real Americans”, he’s out of touch with his own toes.

  88. lol Beata, Bet he hasn’t seen his toes lately.
    Or It either. 😆

  89. Here’s an article that made me all warm and giggly inside and out. I do love that first paragraph! Bwhahahaha!!

Hillary Clinton Draws The Biggest Crowd Of Any 2016 Hopeful for NYC Rally

“The previous unofficial record was set by Bernie Sanders at his campaign stop in Minnesota and his campaign launch in Vermont. The biggest crowd that Sanders has drawn so far is 4,000. Hillary Clinton smashed that record today with an overflow audience at Four Freedoms Park.

The crowd is so large that a separate overflow viewing area has been set up for those who can’t make it into the park to see Clinton in person.

If the goal was a picturesque show of overwhelming support for the former Sec. of State, they got it. The enthusiasm was buzzing in the air, as the media myth that there was not a grassroots buzz about the Clinton campaign was put to rest.”

  90. LOL, Foxy. I had thought about that. I’m reaching for the brain bleach now.

  91. Thanks for that link Beata. I put it on my blog roll under Real Men Support Hillary

  92. “A Woman Leading America – If Not Now, When?” by Peter Daou and Tom Watson, who created the Hillary Men site:

  93. Peter Daou ROCKS!

  94. LOVE the HillaryMen. They are awesome.

  95. Peter Daou and Tom Watson are great Americans. The HillaryMen website is awesome.

I’ve been getting links to Hillaryis44 on my phone, but I still hate it. I stopped going there some time ago then went back when Hillary announced. I was right to stop: it trashes Hillary, the speech and agrees with none of her policies. So, basically, it’s not a Hillary website. Pretty sure it’s GOP false flag. I know some here comment there. The comments are often better than the posts.

  96. This is rich…excuse the pun. Mitt Romney says Hillary Clinton makes too much money.

Romney said Monday morning that Clinton’s personal wealth was set to become a campaign issue as the Democratic front-runner makes her own White House bid in 2016.

“Hillary Clinton is somebody who talks about how much money some people are making and how much less other people are making — but look at how much money she’s been making!” Romney said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

  97. Damned woman’s got a lot of nerve making as much money as the guys!

  98. Cool photo of Hillary in New Hampshire.

  99. That pic of Hillary with the little girl is so precious! Kids can sense when a grown-up is genuine.

Brassy Rebel, I used to be a regular at Hillary is 44 but it got to be too Republican. I haven’t been over there in awhile, so I haven’t seen the latest posts. But I can imagine.

  100. Love that pic

  101. Those children are so precious.

  102. Darling pic of Hillary with the kids.

I’m amazed. The 5 black robed horsemen of the apocalypse and the other 4 Supreme justices refused to review the NC horrible ultrasound law, where women had to have an ultrasound in her face and/or the dr describing the embryo/fetus in detail. Even if the pregnancy were due to rape or incest, or there were severe abnormalities.

  103. NEW POST UP.

  104. Socal they don’t need to hear that case, it would be redundant, considering the Court of Appeals already ruled it unconstitutional. The ruling stands, yes?
