Trouncing! Shellacking! Blowout!

Uppity’s spies are over at Bernie’s location –and they spotted two of his campaign workers –under Susan Sarandon’s supervision —dragging him back to his hotel room.

  1. hahahahahaha i was waiting on that…..

  2. Absolutely love it and I’m stealing it for TW.

  3. Clinton on course to win every county, cong.district and statewide…….

  4. Jasper County is the first to wrap up. Clinton won 85-15.

  5. Important….Oconee County – again, just 7.6% black, NW tip of state – now 100% in. HRC wins 60%-40%.

She won the white areas too….

  6. Holy Shit. This is practically an execution.

  7. With about 50% of the vote reporting, Clinton leads by a mere 50 points. Looks close….:)

  8. Yeah Uppity, its basically a firing squad…..its a get the fuck out notice.

  9. Clinton won 91-8 in Allendale County (73 percent black). Wow

  10. If you missed it, CSPAN is replaying Hillary’s speech….NOW!🙂

  11. looks like the polls all underestimated Clinton’s vote…….or is Sanders voters drifting away or is the fear of a Trump nomination galvanizing dem voters to Clinton……

    A combination of all 3 i think.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – A bruising loss to Hillary Clinton in South Carolina Saturday night dramatically narrowed the path forward for Bernie Sanders, raising serious doubts about his ability to win the delegates needed to secure the Democratic nomination.

South Carolina will widen Clinton’s delegate lead, currently at one after her Nevada win. But more significant, the contest here demonstrated that the Vermont senator has failed to make any headway at all with African-American voters in the South – even with 200 paid Sanders staffers on the ground and nearly $2 million in television spending, Clinton swept the black vote by a five-to-one ratio, according to early exit polls. Among black voters 65 and over, Clinton won by a stunning 96 to 3 percent.

“When we stand together there is no barrier too big to break,” Clinton said at her victory rally in Columbia, where she took the stage alone for the first time without Bill or Chelsea Clinton by her side. “Tomorrow, we take this campaign national.”

Now, heading into Super Tuesday when 11 states will cast ballots on March 1, Sanders will face possibly insurmountable contests in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas and Virginia, all states with sizable black populations and where he has not invested as much time or money.

“Delegates determine the presidential nomination and I don’t see a path for Sanders to get there,” said Jeff Berman, a consultant to the Clinton campaign who ran Barack Obama’s 2008 delegate strategy.

Running through a best-case scenario for Sanders, Clinton operatives said they expect Sanders could win Colorado, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Oklahoma and Vermont – states tailor-made for Sanders because they are caucus states, predominantly white states, New England states, or states with a history of electing progressives.

But even if Sanders manages to pull out significant wins in all five, the delegate math will make it difficult for Sanders to catch up – they represent only one-third of the delegates up for grabs on March 1. And the Clinton campaign has invested heavily in states like Colorado and Minnesota in order to limit Sanders’ margins.

Sanders’ operatives said they are looking beyond Super Tuesday, to the more friendly terrain of Kansas, Nebraska, and Maine to deliver them wins. But by then, Clinton operatives predicted, it could be too little too late to close the delegate gap.

“Our delegate lead will only grow in the period after Super Tuesday,” Berman said.

  13. Here comes the flood…..

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton got some good Super Tuesday news on Saturday night: an endorsement by the Minnesota Star-Tribune.

The endorsement came on Saturday, when Clinton decisively beat Sen. Bernie Sanders in the South Carolina Democratic primary, and just a few days before the Minnesota caucuses on Tuesday.

“We believe Clinton is the clear choice over Sanders for heart and head alike. A force on the national landscape for more than 30 years, Clinton has distinguished herself in foreign and domestic policy in ways that make her well-suited to represent the party in November,” the Star-Tribune editorial said.

The endorsement is a blow to Sanders, as Minnesota is a priority target of the roughly dozen contests on Super Tuesday. The editorial said Sanders’ vow to bring a political revolution has not been backed up by specifics on how he would do that.

“The burden on the self-proclaimed democratic socialist to demonstrate how he would accomplish his objectives without throwing the American economy into chaos is, and should be, high. What are the long-term implications of taxing Wall Street to provide tuition-free college? Of a progressive estate tax on the richest of the rich?” the editorial said.

  14. This is almost an execution. If Bernie weren’t such a passive-aggressive scumbag, I’d feel sorry for him.

  15. Good God, we are going to be positively giddy on Tuesday night.

  16. ok 80% of the vote is in and Clinton is up 48% and a lead of over 150’000

Thats not a shellacking, that a wtf get me a new pair of pants for Bernie…

The candle dint go out, Hillary took a fire extinguisher to Bern.

  17. Wanna laugh at the delegate split of 53 pledged……

    Clinton getting 41 pledged delegates……..Sanders 12

    thats how bad it was.

  18. moon, but the media will say, while she won, she let her 50%margin slip away….bank on that.

  19. If anyone sees a link to Hillary’s speech today, please post it. I have only seen pieces of it.

Bernie needs to keep begging for those magical GOP quarters from his children, or the old east coast hippies…he will need it to keep in the race.

I’m happy to see many obots voting for Hillary now!!!!

  20. An obvious Bernie Bro tweeted “SC caucus voters, you are idiots.” I replied, “SC is a primary state, IDIOT.”

  21. The polls had her winning by 26%………..vastly underestimated…..

  22. Here you go, Shadow:

  23. Democratic 89.8% Reporting
    Delegates Allocated: 53/59Delegates
    Winner H. Clinton
    73.8%
    239,770 41 delegates

    B. Sanders
    25.6%
    82,994 12

Higher turnout and more votes than Barry got

  24. Thank you ((Voting))

  25. Turn on C-Span right now…bunch of the whiniest Bernie kids on right now.

  26. Hillary now has a national vote total lead of 110K

    Stick that sandanistas……

  27. BernieSanders on South Carolina results: ‘Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose’

    Well you’ve lost 3 out of 4 so far…….

  28. With 99% of SC’s results in, Clinton’s got a legitimate blowout at 74%-26%. This was not quite what Sanders was expecting when he landed.
A win of around 180’000 votes

  29. After reading the comments here, I clicked on fluffpo to see the totals and their headline is: SAVED. Like she was heading off a cliff or something. I really have to get out of the habit of going there. I hate that site now. Misogynists!

Anyway, YAY FOR HILLARY!!! YAY FOR US!!! YAY FOR AMERICA!!!

And thank you good people of South Carolina! You made a huge statement tonight! I bow down to all of you that pushed our girl to this huge lead!

XO’s to all Uppityites! Time to Drink!

  30. Sanders looks like he knows the game is up, he knows he is dead in the water……

Massive momentum is heading her way, it does count and does sway voters…..Clinton will get a bigger bump before Tuesday right at the right time….the wins in the south could be even bigger.

  31. Sanders speech is just negative negative negative, Dem party are going to unify even more against him.

  32. I doubt many are even watching Sanders speech, i bet they watched Hillary and went back to normal programming or went out.

  33. Sanders got around 50 votes more than John “Cheating bastard” Edwards got in 2008. Thats how bad you were Bernie.

  34. Hillary looks amazing tonight!

  35. How depressed are Bernie and Sander’s Little Helpers…SC primary isn’t trending on either my local line or on the US top trends.

    Hillary left them SPEECHLESS!

  36. It’s a good time to make a donation to Hillary.

  37. Hillarys popular vote lead is now 118’000

Gonna be a lot more on Tuesday, just in case any sandanistas try and fly that balloon.

  38. liar liar Bernie…you do have a super pac………

  39. That ass is still going on about Wall St…..

Just STFU, this is why you are losing, like a broken fuckin record.

People don’t give a shit Bernie.

  40. Bernie is begging for nickles and says his campaign is, “for the people and by the people”.

Well Bernie, your people got their ass kicked by the rest of the people tonight.

    How’s them apples?

  41. Practically no one carried Bernies sppech, CNN carried a bit then went away, fox , and msnbc didnt bother…….

  42. Busy little place in here tonight, its excellent……no tumbleweeds here…….

  43. Only one precinct left and not enough to win the county it is in. Hillary won the ENTIRE state. She won 43 of the 50 delegates with 2 left to be decided.

  44. and with that, I bid you goodnight……….and what a good night it was.

  45. Oh, I do SO LOVE THIS!

  46. Sorry, all, she has 43 of the 59 delegates.

  47. Doing a happy dance!!!! YAY! ; )

  48. Just got home! Missed all the fun! But wow, what a win for Hillary!!

  49. Chuckie Todd thinks Hillary (probably all women) have to be careful about beating a man too much….hurt their widdle feelings.

Can you imagine any man having to worry about this???

  50. BTW, another crack in the glass ceiling…Hillary is first female to win SC primary for POTUS.

  51. The highest and best use for Chuck Todd would be as a test dummy for an oral Beano to stop those embarrassing little idiot farts from slipping out of his Mitch Miller-lookin’ scrubby facial hair that is a sorry substitute for a missing chin.

  52. Best speech of the season by Madam President-elect.

  53. Prolix, LOL! I just got back myself. Had to make a booze run. I usually make Laker do it, but he’s stuck working.

  54. So strange that only ONE precinct has not had it’s total released. What is the hold-up? And no delegation for a candidate yet for the last two…

  55. Voting, you’re always the one that keeps track of the last percent of votes for Hillary. I love it.

  56. Well, last two delegates still not determined but that final precinct is in and Hillary won the ENTIRE state. Bernie didn’t win one county….not a one.

That works for me….onward to Super Tuesday!

  57. BTW, HuffPo changed it headline from “Save: to “Clinton Crush”…think they see the writing on the wall?

    Such a good night.

  58. Rut ro, Bernie:

“Bernie Sanders received a warning from the Federal Election Commission, citing problems with his campaign’s February finance report.

The letter states the report lists amounts of contributions, receipts, expenses and disbursements that “appear to be incorrect.”

The letter also cites possible impermissible contributions that exceed the allowed limit per election cycle ($2,700 for individuals) along with donations that come from outside the United States and from unregistered political committees.

The FEC sent the letter Thursday to the campaign asking for more information regarding the report filed Feb. 20. The letter warned: “Failure to adequately respond by the response date noted above could result in an audit or enforcement action.”

The Sanders campaign has until March 31 to answer the FEC’s request.

Sanders campaign spokesman Michael Briggs wrote in an email that such inquiries are “standard” and the campaign would address the FEC’s questions. He noted that 85,391-page report covering the month of January listed over 125,000 separate contributions.

“Inevitably there are questions that the FEC staff will have,” Briggs wrote Friday afternoon in an email.

Hillary Clinton, Sanders’ opponent for the Democratic presidential nomination, submitted a 18,642-page report for the same filing period. The FEC had not questioned the Clinton campaign’s report as of Friday afternoon.”

  59. Sorry, thought I closed out the bold after outside US…Feel free to fix, Upps.

  60. Woo hoo!

  61. The final count is indeed 43 to Clinton and 14 to Sanders…the reason is it is 57, the other 2 are 2 sd’s who have not endorsed yet which would bring it up to 59……

    But indeed a massacre…..

I might try and write something up about the next few days, if people would like it, Uppity…….

  62. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/02/27/heavy-black-turnout-suggests-a-very-good-night-for-hillary-clinton-in-south-carolina/

Bernie Sanders’s disastrous night in South Carolina

  63. Rubio : Trumps flying around on Hair Force one……..

  64. Pollsters are saying Clinton may outperform their polls on Tuesday night……….

  65. The closest pollster last night was one pollster called Clemson…..

Their last poll on Friday had SC as Clinton 64 – Sanders 14…a spread of 50%…….

  66. Not even 7 AM, and we’ve woke up to Trump pleading ignorance of who the KKK are, admitting to hiring illegal aliens, praising Mussolini.

    Am I still sleeping……

  67. I know! Oh please let it be Donald!!!

The Reps are going batshit. Hashtags NeverTrump or some such thing. Threatening to run ads against their own candidate! Hillary looking goooood to them. Staying home! It runs the entire gamut.

Have a friend who loved Donald till she said she couldn’t imagine listening to his fighting and insults every day for four years. Tying up the media 24/7 for attention. NOw she’s off Trump. I have to admit I found him kind of fun, but now it’s all a big groan. It’s like being on 3rd grade recess 24/7. This is a very frayed ego. He’s not taking Rubio well, and I have to admit, Rubio’s schtick on Trump was hilarious. Even though Rubio is such a twit. Somebody on some TV thing said he looks like he belongs on top of a wedding cake.

  68. You know the other thing…..he went to Wharton! I mean that’s no lightweight school! Yet he has NO vocabulary. I mean, adjectives barely exist in his vocab beyond, Huge, Terrific, Wonderful, Phenomenal and Great. Very low vocabulary skills and he can’t spell either. How the hell did he get into and out of Wharton??? Old man must have donated a building or something.

  69. Final percentage 73.5, 26.00

Sure if you want to write Moon, let me know if you have something ready and I’ll email you

  70. Yeah, I posted that actual FEC letter a couple of days ago. I still have it somewhere.

  71. WHAT. A. NIGHT. 😄

  72. I just was watching Meet The Press just now I thought it would be safe to watch today but really Chuck Todd is a douche bag. His “round table” didn’t even reflect reality. These pundits have no idea what we the people actually want. You would think it would be perfectly clear by now, we don’t want Bernie Sanders.

  73. Bernie has gotten donations from Cuba and Venezuela in his senatorial campaigns so no reason he didn’t get them now. Like I keep saying, Bernie is a Die-hard Central America Socialist.

  74. UW I am not surprised about Bernie’s donations. Bernies on face the nation now. He just sucks and needs to use a teeth whitening product.

  75. MSNBC, CNN need to get the message that they don’t run elections any longer. And I love love LOVE seeing Maddow look like a deer in the headlights.

Ditto for Sarandon. I do hope she keeps up the good work for Hillary. She’s pissed off women and Latinos big time and I eagerly await what horrible thing she will do and say to alienate more voters.

  76. Bernie has no where to go. It looks like it will be over for Bernie on Super Tuesday. And I am so tired of Bernie making her out as a dishonest person. He’s just using all of the republican attacks. I don’t see that as honorable, truthful or helpful in anyway. He needs to stop.

  77. Salon continues to embarrass itself: yesterday they featured an article and the headline was “Hillary has a race problem.”
That sounds like the Onion but they weren’t kidding.

  78. I noticed Bernie’s teeth too. Call me petty, but he needs to floss or something, esp the bottom front teeth.

  79. “Hillary has a race problem.”

    Yeah but what race? Klingon?

  80. Excuse my vain and shallowness, but badly cared for teeth make me sick.

  81. Oh Bernie will keep going after Tuesday, it’s what he does. He’s like the Japanese water torture. But after Tuesday, Hillary get to ignore his miserable old wrinkled ass.

  82. I hear maddow almost broke down and cried. Damn! I missed it!!!

  83. I think bad teeth is supposed to mean integrity or something.

  84. You will LOVE it
    https://twitter.com/UppityWomanBlog/status/703991776009445376

  85. If nothing else, all this bull about Hillary’s “dishonesty” and all the ridiculous sexist dogwhistles is giving me an excellent opportunity to show my 16 year-old daughter how ingrained and subtle it can be. She’s picking up on the constant downplaying of Hill’s victories with incredulity and getting a little pissed off. We were cheering that beautiful speech together. She’s so excited about Hillary and makes her mama proud. 😁

  86. I am starting to think that Rubio will be the nominee, not Trump. If Cruz leaves the race after Tuesday, there will also be pressure on Kasich to leave, making it just Trump and Rubio. The RNC is determined to keep Trump from being nominated, and so are the oligarchs. I would prefer Trump to be nominated, even though there is always a risk in that. But it just feels to me that the Republicans will manage to get their pliable right-wing candidate nominated.

I saw ten minutes of a Rubio press conference yesterday, all I could stand. He kept talking about the nominee needing 1273 (or so) delegates, and that there was no way that Trump would ever get them. He is not smart enough to think of that himself, so I think he is being assured that by some powerful people. The candidates cannot control their delegates, but in that party, they can exert some very powerful and unsettling influence. I cannot stand Rubio, so I hope I am wrong here. Rubio and Kasich is my somewhat longshot guess, and that is unfortunately a dangerous ticket, though they are wrong on everything.

  87. You MUST read this thread to comprehend what a fucking idiot and piece of burnt toast Bernie really is.

  88. I think bad teeth is supposed to mean integrity or something.

    ROFL!
Poor mouth hygiene is a major indicator of poor hygiene, period.

  89. Uppity I have written something, can i send it to you, to see if its any good.

  90. Thank you voting for the speech and what a speech Hillary gave…BRAVA!
and love her outfit…sorry should not comment on that, I may sound sexist or am I falling in love with our Hill? oops!

  91. Moon, is the email address you use on your login a good one?

  92. lol Belle!

  93. Yes, its one of my personal ones.

  94. Off topic: It seems some troll keeps down-voting William, so I give him five stars even when I don’t entirely agree with him, just to annoy the troll.

  95. Good work, Bill. And I do believe I know who it is.

  96. Ok Moon, you’ve got uppity mail.

  97. Uppity I looked at that tweet and thread. All I can say is….wow. I retweeted it too. Bernie’s saying that the southern blacks aren’t as smart as the northern or more urban blacks? I mean is he really going there?? Looks like, why yes, he is! He.Is.A.Nut ! I’m not saying that in jest. He’s crazy. He’s delusional. He’s out of touch with the rest of the country. He’s been in his cocoon of Vermont too long. Even though he’s in DC too, it’s like he’s never left the VT mentality, or grown up from the 1960s. It’s really bizarre is what it is……he is burnt toast. He just hasn’t realized it yet. But will he ever? After he’s long out of the race I can imagine him giving speeches and trying to get rallies going for his “revolution”.

  98. Today, I am politically happier than any day since 2008! Hillary must be one very happy woman today too.

    Go sweet Hillary, go!!!!

  100. Trump is in hot water over this…

Donald Trump stumbles on David Duke, KKK

Donald Trump stumbled into a racially charged controversy Sunday, saying in an interview on CNN that he didn’t know enough to disavow former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke.

Hours later, Trump tried to clean up his comments on Twitter amid an outpouring of criticism from his Republican presidential rivals. Sen. Marco Rubio slammed the remarks, saying they make Trump “unelectable.”

Marco Rubio slams Donald Trump over ‘KKK’ comments 01:04
The Sunday uproar started when Trump was pressed by CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union” about whether he would disavow Duke and other white supremacist groups that are supporting his campaign.

“Just so you understand, I don’t know anything about David Duke, OK?” Trump said.

Trump was pressed three times on whether he’d distance himself from the Ku Klux Klan — but never mentioned the group in his answers.

“I don’t know anything about what you’re even talking about with white supremacy or white supremacists,” he said. “So I don’t know. I don’t know — did he endorse me, or what’s going on? Because I know nothing about David Duke; I know nothing about white supremacists.”

The Anti-Defamation League had called on Trump to repudiate the support of Duke, the former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, and other white supremacist groups.

Despite what he said Sunday, Trump apparently did know Duke in 2000 — citing him, as well as Pat Buchanan and Lenora Fulani — in a statement that year explaining why he had decided to end his brief flirtation with a Reform Party presidential campaign.

“The Reform Party now includes a Klansman, Mr. Duke, a neo-Nazi, Mr. Buchanan, and a communist, Ms. Fulani. This is not company I wish to keep,” Trump said in a statement reported then by The New York Times.

He had also indicated he knew of Duke during a Friday press conference, when he was asked similar questions and said: “David Duke endorsed me? OK, all right. I disavow, OK?”

After his appearance on “State of the Union,” Trump highlighted that Friday comment in a tweet, saying he does disavow Duke.

    http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/28/politics/donald-trump-white-supremacists/index.html

  101. This would end any other campaign , seriously WTF.

Trump: ‘It would be very unfair’ to disavow KKK and David Duke until I ‘do research on them’

    ……………..

Where you been the last 70 years!

  102. NEW POST UP

  103. While I sometimes wonder if the guy is some kind of idiot savant, this is not one of those times. He knows who and what the KKK is. He loves preying on the Hate Theme. He will take votes any way he can get them, up to and including David Duke and his followers. Wouldn’t be surprised if some of his current followers are IN the KKK.

  104. Trump is stoking the racial flames that were already ignited by Baracko. Hillary is running to the opposite end, talking about mending fences and trying to work together.

Some ex-Hillary supporters look at this as weak and her being Obama3.

It makes me wonder how many actually liked Hillary in 2008, or they just supported her because she wasn’t Obama.

  105. I’m tired of this Get Nothing Done Stalemate shit! And I’m tired of people trying to shove a Theocracy in my face and claiming to fight another one somewhere else.

    Alas you Pharisees! Hypocrites, All!

  106. And I’m even MORE tired of women being treated like possessions of men who need to be legislated, because, as some Very Dead And In Hell justice pointed out, “Women are not protected by the constitution”. This is bullshit and I am tired of their bullshit. It’s high time women took their rightful place as equals! This Carved In Stone bullshit is nothing more than bullshit. And that’s that!! Fuck the whole lot of them. Fuck the far right and Fuck the far left, who hate women too, and only use them as bargaining chips with the Right. Fuck them all, it’s Time to put an end to this horse shit. Look at Ted Cruz! Look at what a zealoted piece of SHIT he is! Fucking Despot in Waiting! WHo the FUCK does he think he is, anyways????

I’m going to go make me a donation right now.

  107. Uppity,

It strikes me, given the eloquence of your comment, that if, according to the newest denizen of one of the lowest circles, women are not included in that common man’s rights document – you know, the one that said humans are not governed by divine right, but only by their own consent, that document called the American Constitution – what, precisely, are we? A sovereign nation? Illegal immigrants? Foreign substances?

If we pay taxes equally, are equally bound by all prohibitions, are equally compelled by force, up to and including lethal, in obeying its laws, but we are not protected by its guarantees, what are we?

According to Scalia and his henchmen, the closest jurisprudence I can see that governs the majority of the human beings in this country (that’s women, for the mathematically challenged) is maritime law: entities that come under constitutional jurisdiction by happen stance, that have no connection to ordinary life, with only a private and limited impact on anything outside their physical location, but governed by an iron law.

    That’s it – we’re ships.

  108. You ask what we are, according to the Dead Man Who Is In Hell’s interpretation of the Constitution as a Originalist? The answer is easy:

    We’re nothing.

And that is why the SCOTUS appointment is so important.

  109. I know, that’s been obvious since his first opinions.

I was trying to work out, with not a little sarcasm, how the newest devil’s opinion of women would be carried out according to strict legal interpretation.

Give us your Uppity opinion if you aren't banned first.
